he shouldn't be whining as he was lucky to win the test series. the SL win in the test series was more like delivering one more nail [hopefully the final one] to the aged Ind test team's coffin

Agree. Kumble must have a long and hard look at his performances this year esp. If he can't buy wickets on Sri lankan wickets, then, he has to evaluate his potential as a strike bowler in the team. Applies to Dravid and Gang. The flabby Indian middle order has become obese and urgently requires reduction. That for me is the lesson from the series.

Then you say, not under the lights. Tell me, is it a crime that Dhoni won toss? That's what an intellient cap do, try and convert every opportunity into wins, and Dhoni did exactly that. I doubt whether this point would've been raised had it been Sri lanka who won toss and won.

Toss did matter, but SL should have chased 220. 250 is bit too much on that pitch, but SL did manage to score 200+ on the track, showing 220 is gettable.

The very fact that despite being down 5 down before 25th over for less than 100, Sri Lanka got to 200 shows that there wasn't much in the pitch to moan about. The only thing was Indian new ball bowling was too good for the SL top order. The reason why Sri Lanka got to 200 was because of some Slogging by Thushara aided by a complacent Dhoni who bowled with Yuvi and Rohit, knowing that the match was in the bag. At no point in all the three matches Sri Lanka ever looked dangerous enough of beating India. That is comprehensive.

SL is used to playing on such conditions and it's the visitors who have to adjust, thus it's wouldn't surprise me if many of the SL wins in the past were due to it winning tosses, if it were to be implied that Ind won because it won tosses and that [crediting tosses for Ind wins] takes a lot out of SL wins at home

Sri Lanka really needs to sit and find a solution to win more matches abroad in different conditions. Their captain courageous, who talks of how competitive he was, would do well to check his away average in test matches. It is no wonder that Sri Lanka has hardly had anyone save for Sanga who can bat for 4 hours in say Australia.

Ah c'mon now admit you got pwned..even in the game we lost how many top-order wickets were the result of batsmen having brain-fart?Everyone i would say except Yuvarj,Dhoni and Kohli maybe..you need to take a good hard look at that batting line-up of yours before making such statements..Fact is Indians were the much better side.Even in the last game,Thilan Thushara,if SL cricket board pay him 100bucks for every boundary he scores off the edges of his bat,he would be a millionaire by now.Some great all-rounder he is!!

Sl simply don't have a batsman averaging above 35 with the possible exception of Sanga and if he has a bad series...they might as well not compete.
