lulwut? 'twas not me.Was wondering what Sriram was on about. Checked the squad list last week and Silvestre was there.
Yeah, another great move by the BBC, honestly shocking, why do we have to pay a licence? The Olympic coverage has been good, for sure, but then I'm sure it would be on Sky...The Independent says we're trying to "hijack" Silvestre's move. As we've punted Hoyte to Boro it's plausible from that point of view, but would imagine Siralex would be happier to flog him to Sunderland or even Citeh.
Anyway, we play the Czechs tonight. Hard to recall an England game I've cared less about TBH. Couldn't even watch it live if I was arsed as our friendlies are now on Sultana.
Well, to be fair, all he needs to do is play better then Senderos to be a good buy for Le arse, so it's not an arduous task.Silvestre to Arsenal appears to be fact now, joke on Arsenal IMO, he's utterly useless.
Cue him playing better for Arsenal than he ever played for us.
Yeah, big "meh" here. Suppose he covers pretty much anywhere in the back four, so a utility purchase only I suspect. Wenger's not exactly renowned for buying ageing players, especially those with somewhat chequered fitness histories.Silvestre to Arsenal appears to be fact now, joke on Arsenal IMO, he's utterly useless.

My bad.Apparently Silvestre is a free agent, only realised this morning that he was released by Man Utd at the end of last season. Which makes this potential deal not the worst thing in the world, as he is free he could be a reasonable buy (fingers crossed), wouldn't be happy if Arsenal shelled out a lot of money for him, but on a free....hopefully could turn out ok. But my opinion of him throughout his Man Utd career was that most of the time he was solid enough without ever being really good, but prone to bouts of being extremely dodgy...
Most likely that Toure will be pushed forward into midfield now I would have thought, which would solve the problem of the hole in midfield. Which i'm perfectly happy with tbh, probably my favourite Arsenal player.Sky reckon that Wenger sees him as a first choice centre half along with Gallas... what's happened to Kolo Toure?

Second favourite tbh, Fabregas I rate more highly as a player, but Kolo Toure is just my personal favourite, can't really explain why, just find him very likeable, and a very useful player to boot.
LOL @ Silvestre to Arsenal. Very bizarre transfer, that one. Was half-expecting us to go for him, seeing as we go for everyone else.
Don't we all.I like corn chips
