Tonnes of pressure on Rankin if he does debut though. Throwing him right into the deep end, I doubt he'll have a mid range performance tbh he'll either rise up to the challenge completely or fail, sadly though I think it will be the later, you can't expect a 16yr old no matter how good he is to take charge of a team and organise a side filled with players he looks up to and would idolise.

Physically he will get dominated as well, theres a huge difference between a forward pack of developing forwards who have yet had the time to reach their prime weight/strength/power/technique as opposed to players who have reached that stage, the gap between U20's standards forwards and FG forwards is so much larger than that of the backs, A front rower rarely reaches his primer before his mid 20's its just a physical fact. He may be able to run rings around his opponents in 20's but can he do it in FG. I doubt it.

Scott Prince going to the doctors at midday tomorrow hoping to be cleared to play on Monday night. They really are desperate. Harrison and Lewis are almost as bad as Roberts and Holdsworth. Almost.

Campbell is still listed at fullback. I imagine he'll slip into the halves at some stage during the game.

Raiders become more financially secure? FYI they are one of the few clubs that actually make a profit, just because they dont shell out the big dollars for big names doesn't mean they don't have any money. Look at what has happened in the past, they paid massive overs for rubbish players like Brad Drew etc... and they suffered because they were here because of the money and not wanting to play for Canberra. Now they generally concentrate on signing up youngers who want to play together and are from the region and it seems to be working.

Absolute certs for the play offs Canberra - best run home.

Unfortunately, no home final for the Broncos by the looks of it.

Never mind all this talk of Manly and Melbourne, the Roosters and Broncos. The Parra juggernaut finally got underway yesterday, 16 weeks later than we'd all hoped, and firing on 2 out of 6 cylinders.

But without the great Fui squared Moi squared, without Tim Smith, Ben Smith, Piggy Riddell, Luke Burt, Ray Price, Peter Sterling and Brett Kenny they still managed to put one over the hapless Roosters, who for some reason seemed more concerned with the spanking they're gonna get this Friday night from Melbourne than they were worrying about the indomitables before them yesterday.

I predict a branstorming finish for my mighty Eels, culminating in that one day in October - when the boys all get together at the pub to watch two other teams compete in the Grand Final.

We're on our way.

Go Parra. Celebrating mediocrity since 1986.

Yeah I know there make profit most season. But just cus you don't spend any money doesn't make you financially secure. It just means your wise with your money. You need to be able to generate some money or have some rich guy fund your club to be financial secure these days.

Raiders have four very successful leagues clubs behind them in the ACT region, they are all going very strong and while they are around the Raiders will be here.

After Round 22

Overall
1. James90 - 102
=2. Wright - 101
=2. Burgey - 101
=4. BoyBrumby - 100
=4. DCYE - 100
6. altoz - 97
7. Clapo - 96
=8. chaminda - 95
=8. morgieb - 95
10. Simon - 94
11. 99* - 89

A mixed round of tipping, with a few difficult games to tip. I managed to top the round with 7, only missing out on the Roosters/Eels game, which incidentally, was the only game that no-one got right. Stedman takes the sole lead with 6 whilst Wright, Burgey & Brumby slip behind with 5's & a 4 respectively.

Round 23:
Broncos vs Dragons
Storm vs Roosters
Warriors vs Sharks
Cowboys vs Titans
Panthers vs Bulldogs
Raiders vs Knights
Rabbitohs vs Eagles
Eels vs Wests Tigers

I think you're right on the money.

5 Brisbane
6 Canberra

That's how it well end up IMO. Being a Sydney Raiders fan, I'd love to go down to Shark Park for week 1 of the finals.

Raiders won't finish 6. Knights to carve 'em a new one this week.

EDIT: It seems the match is in Canberra, I'll settle for a close victory then.

Dragons under a huge amount of pressure to make the eight. Newcastle, NZ and Wests Tigers all finding form at the right time while St George have slipped back a bit. I'm expecting them to ark up on Friday night.

How did the young fella go? TV3 News made no mention of how he actually performed.

Paper said today Titans looked at their most dangerous when he was on the field, but too little, too late. He set up a try in the last minute, but his defence wasn't up to first grade standard.
