Pffh, Nadal would wear a cardigan too but they can't find one that'll fit, his biceps are too big. :p

Can't wait till Sunday night. I feel Roger vs Rafa is going to be more epic than their match last year.

VAMOS RAFA!

Not his 17th consecutive final. Only his 2nd. He lost in the semi-finals to Djokovichead at the Australian Open.
I know, 17th consecutive semi, as was said in the post I quoted.

Want Federer to win, think Nadal will. Surface at Wimbledon continues to get slower and that plays into Rafa's hands.

shock horror a British woman doing something at Wimbledon and getting to the girls final...still she's only 14 plenty of time for her to fade away

do you really have good memories of a scintillating match between those two? i really don't...i am not trashing their individual abilities which is obviously exceptional...but when they play each other, probably because they are so close, neither plays at or near her best and it is usually awkward and uncomfortable and consequently error-filled and the one who is less uncomfortable on the day wins...not something i look forward to....:)
The best women's match this year was between Venus and Serena in Bangalore, the semi-final.

This final already looks better then any of the other matches. Serena hitting a high velocity backhand straight at Venus' body when she was at the net, and Venus manages to hit a superb volley winner. Outstanding.

Loving it !! . Venus wins first set 7-5 :)
From a break down too. Serena just broke Venus in the 2nd set though.

And if anyone suggests they're not giving they're all they're idiots. Tremendous battle so far. Serena not apologising after that ball just going over the net is interesting. Plus you add the shots they're both hitting at the body.

Then to counter that, you have the good sportswomanship of Serena conceding that point to Venus in the first set when the umpire ruled it a 'let'

Thank god that grunt-a-thon is over, was getting absurd towards the end there. Horrible stuff.
Serena didn't even grunt for most of the first set, and there was a particular long rally where only Venus was grunting.

Not sure what you're on about tbh. I thought that was a top battle.

Twice Venus was down a break in a set, and twice she broke back and then took the set breaking Serena again.

Also not sure you'd watch a match where two renowned grunters would play, watch it all, and then go "thank God that's over".

Yeah, Serena wasn't that bad but Venus was awful. I think the crowd was even laughing at it towards the end. It's virtually impossible to enjoy the match with such over the top decibels levels. Honestly it's abhorent and not a great image for women's tennis.
