Not his 17th consecutive final. Only his 2nd. He lost in the semi-finals to Djokovichead at the Australian Open.17th, but still a ridiculous feat. I don't think there's another player in men's history to have matched that, or got close to it.
I know, 17th consecutive semi, as was said in the post I quoted. Not his 17th consecutive final. Only his 2nd. He lost in the semi-finals to Djokovichead at the Australian Open.
shock horror a British woman doing something at Wimbledon and getting to the girls final...still she's only 14 plenty of time for her to fade away
Nah, Fed is one handsome dude.Federer looks like a girl and a very unattractive one.
The best women's match this year was between Venus and Serena in Bangalore, the semi-final.do you really have good memories of a scintillating match between those two? i really don't...i am not trashing their individual abilities which is obviously exceptional...but when they play each other, probably because they are so close, neither plays at or near her best and it is usually awkward and uncomfortable and consequently error-filled and the one who is less uncomfortable on the day wins...not something i look forward to....![]()
Roger & Venus - Williams sisters in the Doubles too.Roger and Venus
Or did you mean both Serena and Venus cos they're in the ladies' doubles?![]()
From a break down too. Serena just broke Venus in the 2nd set though.Loving it !! . Venus wins first set 7-5![]()
Serena didn't even grunt for most of the first set, and there was a particular long rally where only Venus was grunting.Thank god that grunt-a-thon is over, was getting absurd towards the end there. Horrible stuff.
Yeah, Serena wasn't that bad but Venus was awful. I think the crowd was even laughing at it towards the end. It's virtually impossible to enjoy the match with such over the top decibels levels. Honestly it's abhorent and not a great image for women's tennis.Serena didn't even grunt for most of the first set, and there was a particular long rally where only Venus was grunting.
Not sure what you're on about tbh. I thought that was a top battle.
Twice Venus was down a break in a set, and twice she broke back and then took the set breaking Serena again.
Also not sure you'd watch a match where two renowned grunters would play, watch it all, and then go "thank God that's over".
