I see Fulton's in today...why didn't he play the Ireland game as well, considering how out of form he is? Think it would have been more useful to us in the long-term if it had been Fulton making 160 in that game instead of Marshall.

Indeed.

But come on.
Marshall comes before Fulton in a reversed-alphabet!!

The fact that they're fielding pretty much says straight away that they just want to get the hell out of there.

Sadly, a crowd of no more than two or three hundred is expected; local intelligence says that only the big teams - India and Pakistan (attracting the local immigrant population), or England or Australia - draw significant crowds in Scotland.
We just can't escape from being belittled.

Suprised someone with your interest in the game fails to recognise the obvious natural potential of Ryder tbh.
Natural potential is all well and good, but if you don't translate it into runs (which Ryder emphatically has not in the OD game) it's little use.

I haven't had enough of a look at Ryder to be able to discern why it is that he's done so poorly in OD cricket so far in his career, but it may be that he doesn't have any great potential in it at all - his game may simply not be suited to the format. I emphasise - I am not saying this is the case, but with someone who's had a relatively long career now and has never produced the results it's a valid question to ask.

Elliott on a hat-trick, Scotland 75/8. I suppose it's only fair that the bowlers have a chance to improve their averages.

Dear oh dear, was a great chance for Fulton to get some runs and he's failed. With no matches after this game before the Champions Trophy, I can't see him getting anywhere near the squad.
