Yeah, the market for 17yo's is pretty stupid. Sold my YP (resp/worthless bat, med/med bowl, med stamina) for 200k, while a similar player (resp/worthless bat, med/feeble bowl, feeble stam) with a higher wage didn't sell at a reserve price of 10k. That allrounder going for 12m is obviously ridiculous as well, pretty sure it will be adjusted down significantly though.YP these days equal all or nothing. Interesting as I reckon half these days that are spending stupid money on youth pulls would probably only end up putting a couple nets on the players.
Useless with the new ball, basically just another spinner...what's the problem with medium bowlers?
Rule of thumb is that F/FM take more wickets in the first 10-12 overs. Medium and Spinners do take wickets in the first 10-12, but generally take less wickets. But a lot does depend on the temperment and stats as well. Willetts opens the bowling for me lately and he is RM, but also has attacking temperment so he isn't too bad. There is a reason why I brought someone like Hodge though. Is there really a new ball effect in BT, though? I could've sworn it was one of those things Allan mumbled something about "wanting to include at some point", back in a Q&A ages ago.
(And by "new ball effect" I mean a bowler-dependent one - obviously you can pretty much only take wickets in the first 10-12 overs and the last 10, but as far as I've seen it doesn't matter what bowler types are used when...)
Chasing a medium bowler, how much do you want?Stefan Kiely (1882259)
LH Batsman, LM Bowler, respectable batting form, respectable bowling form, fresh fitness.
A steady player with abysmal leadership skills and worthless experience.

12 stamina, 12 bowling and 11 consistency. Woohoo. It's a shame I already have way too many Medium bowlers. Will list him and hopefully use that money to change to an F/FM.
That's better then my first teamPretty much finished off the base of my 2nd XI side. Have to admitt I am liking the look of them, well as 2nd XI team:
Gavin Hilton: Prof/Fee Bat, Resp Stam
Elvis Cunningham: Comp/Med Bat, Med wk, Med Stam
Hasar Obeysekera: Resp/Fee Bat, Comp/Fee RHS, Resp Stam
Eddie Allison: Resp/Fee Bat, Med wk, Fee Stam
Dave Evans: Prof/Fee Bat, Woe Stam
Arthur Beaumont: Resp/Woe Bat, Prof/Fee RHS, Fee Stam
Katchi Velupillai: Med/Comp Bat, Resp Stam
Suvik Gunatilleke: Comp/Woe Bat, Fee Stam
Shahed Juzar: Comp/Woe Bat, Comp/Woe LHS, Comp Stam
Kavith Priyantha: Comp/Fee LF, Resp Stam
Phillip Granville: Prof/Woe RFM, Woe Stam
Should be interesting to see how they go in Cup and BT20 this season. Remind me a lot of my side back in the day. Cunningham will probably get replaced by med YP, his 32 so about to plop.
I'll join you. That's better then my first team
Don't worry too much guys. Reckon after a couple seasons of playing the game, your sides would be a lot better the that. Spikey if your side worse then that and have nets, I would train Hunter in a heartbeat.
