Well, I set Rickmansworth a 4th innings target of 223...110 higher than their first innings, and 50 runs higher than either of mine.

I was getting worried when two of their three danger men were going well at 72/2, with their top bat due in next...but then John got the key wicket, bowling Piton with a snorter.

GET IN! John's just got another, bowling their second best bat around his legs. 87/4 now, with one end open, and I should take it pretty easily from here.

Div II here I come!

Bah, reduced them to 103/8 meaning we'll have to go back tomorrow for what will probably turn out to be just one or two overs. :@

Excellent performance. Stoked with how Littlejohn is coming along. The totals really put Burnip's innings in perspective. Awesome end to the FC Season. :)

Well, it's all happening at the NCMG this morning :)

Just logged on, to find that Hirst got Richardson with the second ball of the day. Gibb got Lake the next over, then now Hirst has bagged O'Rourke and Kaluwitharana in his second over...which still has three balls remaining.

There goes Thabiso as well -- triple wicket maiden for Hirst, and it's 93/9.

Barring an absolute miracle, i.e. two ferrets batting out the day, I'll be in FC Div II next season.

:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

End of Over 55 (Maiden). Essex Eagles: 118-9, runrate=2.15 (1st Inn: 203-10)
Trail by 80 runs. (The Heath CC 401-6 dec)
Lucas 15-5-26-1
Al* 3 (29 balls)
Antrobus 4 (16 balls)

Last Wicket: Makanna c. Knight b. Woods 17 (FOW: 112/9)

Taking a bit longer than expected to dislodge the tailenders this morning but Woods has taken the one wicket to fall - that's his fifth 5-wicket haul of the season in FC

Cheers! I wonder who I'll get in my league?

My season's not quite over yet, anyway -- I need to win tomorrow, and hope another result goes my way, or I'll be dropping down to III in OD. Which isn't necessarily that bad a thing, as Scaly's almost certainly going to win II.1 next season (Sherwood has promotion all but sewn up this time round).

Haven't decided whether I'm gonna chuck the last game yet or not. It's gonna take me a couple of seasons of wheeling and dealing and training to improve my batting.

*checks league table*

WTF?! Sherwood lost to highton?! How on Earth didn't I notice that?!

*stunned*

Close game too. I'd twigged that highton won last week, but had forgotten who they're playing. Oh well. Anyway, looks like I'll be dropping down to OD III tomorrow unless Crunchie puts out an unusually strong side.

BARNES OUT
And that's the end of the match. Central Districts won by 10 wickets.
Speed Blitz Blues 40-10
Central Districts 41-0

Secured a playoff, not sure how that's going to pan out but anyway.

Cruising along. No hope of getting third place by the looks of things either. 3rd place team was going along at a casual 6.68 an over after 30

Had a good last week...a mostly 2nd team won by an innings in the FC game with a 17 year old knocking up 145. Today sent in my strongest team to try to get back a bit of respectability in OD as I've let a lot of games go due to not being strong enough to beat the top team anyway. Hammered the team above me, bowling them out for 142 and ending up 143/0 after 24 overs.

Oh, and if anyone wants a friendly Sunday it's Coco's Nuts: (6533). If you want an away friendly that's even better,..I've had two away games this week and would like to put some money in the bank!
