So nothing! No one is saying anything about his batting FFS. He could be Bradman with the bat and that would be fine and great, but if he bowls crap we can't call him a crap bowler? If someone bowls, its perfectly fair to criticize their bowling. I don't understand what's so complicated about this.

Have a look at the comments, including you're own.

The guy is a batsman and is ridiculed for his bowling as if this has somehow become his speciality after a few years of being no more than a part-timer

White is hamstrung by those who saw him as the next Warne when he debuted in his teens

Do yourself a favour and look at him like Yuvi (without the test failures of course) - hard hitting batsman, great field, bowl a few overs when required

The worst part is that this is India. You can find someone better than that in the 3rd XI for a Ranji side FFS.

Really? Who in our Test side wouldn't 'hold a candle' to Cameron White as a Test batsman?

And the reason people aren't getting over the bowling part is because he bowled in this game. Everyone realizes he is there as a batsman too.

These were my comments on White - I don't understand where I called him a bad batsman? I'd like to know, because if I did, I'd be happy to take that comment back.

If he bowls crap in shorter forms of the game, most people that have seen him play will not be surprised

However, as a batsman, he may be something very special

That's just it though - they didn't pick him as a spinner. They picked him as a batsman and he had a bowl to change things up after everyone else got belted. You were acting as if they'd picked him as a bowler or expected him to bowl four overs; that's not true. It'd be like bitching and moaning about a team picking Yuvraj as a spinner if he bowled one over.
