I guess, it's a flat pitch .... things could start happening from Day 3 onwards
It's a good thing that Ind removed Kallis and Prince, the ones who can get stuck in .... i guess, Boucher's wkt would be the key
I m upset with the Indian team selection though .... The management could have accomodated Pathan as the bowling all-rounder. He is very useful down the order and would have helped as the 3rd seamer .... No matter, what the pitch, if a team can afford to squeeze in a bowling all-rounder, then it should. Who knows that Pathan could have delivered a few good balls and picked up a wkt or two. Moreover, having two specialist seamers w/o the back up of the 3rd seamer is little risky as there are chances of a fast bowler breaking down or simply having a bad game .... and I don't see Jaffar being a better batsman than Pathan .... Pathan should have played, w/ Ind opening with Sehwag and Dravid
Ind has lost the series in SA, so it's important that it pulls a series victory. Most teams would be happy to beat a team at home and draw the series aboard as that would insure a better standing in the rankings. Even though Ind will remain at #2, if the series is drawn, it will lose more with a drawn series which means it's Ind who has to take the initiative
