Just came >that< close to losing to a month-old team, thanks to some overzealous resting of bowlers. Needed 16 off the last over, so Bromby did this:

Code:
19.5	6	Ranchod to Bromby
Big six over long leg, that was more like a golf shot.
19.4	2	Ranchod to Bromby
Ranchod drifts onto leg stump and Bromby wristily turns it away to deep square leg. Great running as they scurry back for a second.
19.3	4	Ranchod to Bromby
Crash! That's gone like a bullet through point, four runs.
19.2	4	Ranchod to Bromby
Shot! Moves back to give himself room, then steps elegantly into an aerial extra cover drive which nearly carries for a clean six. It's a clean four instead!
19.1	4	Ranchod to Bromby
Nicely picked up off the toes to a vacant square leg boundary.
Feel a bit bad for the opponent actually, that's pretty cruel.

Yea, twas extremely annoying when Ladbroke needed 20/21 off the last 5 balls against Summers and a guy who'd been in for all of 3 balls magically smashed the remaining deliveries for 22.

Got bored, so thought i should do this. Lots of holes need plugging after my selling spree, but i dont see that happening anytime soon. Not sure what to do with Crouse. Thinking about training him to strong, selling him and picking up a superb 17yr old in the last week. But on the other hand, i could keep him and buy a strong 5th bowler, or 5th, 6th or 7th bat.

I suppose, no point planning things now, anything could happen by now and the end of the season.

Happy with 6 of my players, 7 if you include Crouse, should be enough to keep me in Div III. Am in 2nd currently, with 5 wins 2 losses, 3rd has the same, and 4th and 5th are 3 wins 4 losses, so a bit of a gap.

This is ridiculous...Mabudhafasi, a bowler in my team with superb PFL and superb bowling (rating 29000) has been taken apart last over by batsmen with ratings of 5000 and 3000 respectively. We should still win though.

Ended up bowling them out in the last over...

O'Grady took 4 wickets in the first 4 balls of the last over to finish them off after Hartburn took 2 wickets in the last two balls of the previous over. Naked CC went from 159/4 to 159 all out in 6 balls.

We scored 182/1.

Another good win after a slow start to the 20/20. Won't get anywhere, but it's nicer winning.

My second XI got bowled for 40, better than yesterday's game when they got bowled for 36. How does throwing the matches effect my team morale and in turn what impact does low morale have?

Not sure how much longer I can carry Clayton, Quintin, Ellis and Matharu. They all seem to be going enough to keep their spot in the squad. But our batting line in particular is very relient on Lucas and Muralitharan in the big matches.

I have a 2-2.5 mil in the bank and a proficient seamer off the bench. So I'm thinking about selling Ellis and Matharu and buying a new opener. I should get 2-2.5 mil for Matharu, 3.5-4 mil for Ellis. So basically that is 7 mil to spend on a new batsmen, so only about Remarkable/Remarkable.

The other option is just training up a couple new top order batsmen and let Quintin, Ellis & Clayton play lesser roles in the middle order. Would take atleast a season and a half before any batsmen would be ready to bat at the top though.

Stamina another big issue, as mediocre not really enough for my bowlers. As well as respectable for an all rounder. A few decisions to make.

Doesn't. Morale has been disabled. (Just pandering to the masses, clearly.)

and in turn what impact does low morale have?
Pretty big, though it used to be bigger. Three extra levels of morale probably gives you a skill level up across the board.

3.6 W Lane to Bannister
Bowled him! A relatively harmless ball, straight on the stumps, Bannister has an ugly swipe across the line and loses his composure and stumps. Vital strike from Lane, who lets forth a nice verbal volley at Bannister as he passes him, much fun!
3.5 W Lane to Darby
What were they thinking? There was never a run in that.
3.4 W Lane to Prior
A bit more pace on that one and it's hit Prior on his boot. An enormous shout for LBW as Lane, Guinan and all the fielders go up in synch. The umpire is quick to nod whilst raising his finger.
3.3 . Lane to Prior
That one was right up in the blockhole and Prior did well to squeeze it out to extra cover.
3.2 W Lane to Dudgeon
What a catch, what a marvellous catch by Husbands.
3.1 W Lane to Brook
Gone! Guinan snaps up the ball after taking Brook's thin outside edge. Good length delivery, it was straight and the batsman had an apprehensive poke at it.
Hahaha near perfect over for them, could be my lowest score ever here.

EDIT:
And that's the end of the match. Parrot Got Onion won by 254 runs.

I'm fairly pissed at BT at the moment. I am 100% sure I set my B team as default orders for BT20 before I left, but my A team has been playing the whole time, so now I'm PFL ****ed.
