Cricketer Of The Year
You've uncovered my genius plan. I'm planning to get Read for $440k, get through to the first round and then draw the 'Hurst. Read will stride out to open the batting with 'Brackenhurst' tattooed on his left bicep and 'The Heath' tattooed on the right bicep. Dwayne Smart will run in to open the bowling but will break down in tears before reaching the popping crease and run to give his ex-team mate a hug. Things will disintegrate from there and the umpires will award a victory to The Heath, because they love Brett too.

And so The Heath shall march on into the second round proper of the CW Cup...

Edit: Should probably make sure that we beat Tamil Eelam and/or Swamibapa before I think too far ahead. I may have said too much already. Nuts.
I have top order are similarly talented but that's not even got me one win in this year's CW Cup see

Mmm, in fairness though, you've been beaten by Male Models who also beat me, and Tamil Eelam who I haven't played yet. The game against Caves Beach was an odd result given the reporter's summary, but was played at bugssy's ground, giving him the advantage of choosing the pitch. It was also played in humid conditions, which tends to throw up more freak results than other weather conditions in my experience.

Sitting alone at 4-0 in T20, which is good, i can rest my guns now, my next two games are against someone throwing and a bot anyway.
Hiller sold for 6.8 million, means i have 1 million in the bank. Will just sit on it until the end of the season, then buy some strong like bowler, as the comp i have now wont cut it next season.

Using today's game as an opportunity for some of my guys to get/maintain form. The batsmen (Knight 115*/68 balls, Kemp 84*/52 balls) did a good job but the bowlers are a bit expensive so far against an awful batting side.

End of Over 4: 32-2, runrate=8.00, reqrunrate=10.56 (200-0)
Westwood 2-0-18-2
Shoeshoe* 15 (9 balls)
Gittens 0 (0 balls)

Last Wicket: East c. Bartlett b. Westwood 10 (FOW: 32/2)

Makanna 1-0-6-0
Adriaan* 17 (15 balls)
Broomes 23 (13 balls)

Last Wicket: Makel c & b. Bell 20 (FOW: 31/3)

2nd XI could actually pull this one off.

Haha, that was quick...

The Heath CC: 200/0 (20) Knight 115* (68), Kemp 84* (52)

Brizzle Bears: 46 (9.2) Liddle 4/7 (2), Hamed 3/1 (1.2)

Cricketer Of The Year
Swamibapa Leeds CC won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Cracked

End of Over 13: 113-0, runrate=8.69, reqrunrate=7.14 (162-0)
Hughes 3-0-32-0
Samiullah* 47 (42 balls)
Cooper 65 (36 balls)

Not a single wicket has fallen and and its not looking like one will fall despite the purported cracked nature of the pitch

Ended up with a 9 wicket win

Good win today against a team I expected to flog me. I played 1 normal top order bat and no spinners on a dusty track. They had two who were supposed to be good.

Got this guy for 19.3m, pretty expensive but not too bothered considering I sold Petrus for nearly 12m and masterful bowlers were going for 14-16m earlier in the week.

Tom Lancaster (786305)

RH Batsman, RFM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, invigorated fitness.
An attacking player with strong leadership skills and mediocre experience.

Plays For: Asterix XI
Nationality: Australia
Age: 22 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 169,624
Wages: £78,072 p/w
Stamina: superb Wicket Keeping: feeble
Batting: wonderful Concentration: sensational
Bowling: masterful Consistency: exquisite
Fielding: superb

Been trying to get a good attacking or destructive opening bowler for a while now, so I'm pretty happy with it. Think I'll eventually sell Downer, my bowling is probably a bit better than it needs to be at the moment. I was hoping to lengthen my batting lineup a bit but it isn't going to happen yet. My other purchase was Allott, exquisite batsman with rubbish secondaries and stamina, will be itstl.

Batsmen (primary/secondary/stamina):

Watkins - exquisite/phenomenal/superb (defensive)
Allott - exquisite/proficient/woeful (steady)
Ashton - sensational/sensational/superb (cautious)
Lancaster - wonderful/sensational/superb (attacking)
Cuss - wonderful/superb/proficient (cautious)
Whitehorne - quality/sensational/superb (steady)

Bowlers (primary/secondary/stamina):

Downer - phenomenal/exquisite/superb (cautious LM)
Lancaster - masterful/exquisite/superb (attacking RFM)
Whitehorne - masterful/phenomenal/superb (steady RHS)
Watkins - exceptional/phenomenal/superb (defensive RFM)
Dissanayake - quality/exceptional/mediocre (cautious RHS)

Have 1.3m in the bank so hopefully won't have to sell anyone, but if I have to I'll downgrade my fifth bowler. Should be set for a few important matches coming up: cup semi v Borderliners on Sunday; league match v Borderliners on Friday; and potentially the cup final.

Big fun with the bat... Some nice, average-and-form boosting centuries for Caldwell and Kepler, and my lesser lights have done some nice work with the ball as well.
