Of course but considering the size of the Man Utd squad and I'm sure Halsey bought other players he surely could have played more experienced players.

hmm, must say that I always use the Carling Cup much like halsey, just throw in the promising youngsters, reserves, first team players who havent had many starts recently and players who are short on fitness coming back from serious injuries, I wouldnt ever bother using first team players unless I got as far as the Semi-final, regardless of the board confidence, I find the only real part of the confidence section you need to pay real attention to is their opinion on your progress in the league, the european competition and the long term goals, generally unless you really fall short in the cups they wont really care, or at least it wont make much change to your game, similar can be said with the fans appreciation of players.

I do that too. My point was about the Final. I got knocked out of the CC in the 1st match I played as I played youngsters. If I'd reached the Final though it'd have been the first team out there.

Now halfway through the second season. In the first season, I won only the FA Cup - lost the league on the last day to a last minute equalizer at Anfield which gave the league to Arsenal. Grr. Also went out of the CL to eventual winners Milan in the quarters despite ****ing battering them.

Anyway I'm now three points clear at the top, despite a shocking start, thanks to a record-breaking run of victories.

So I installed Leopard (Newish Mac OS) and forgot to backup my FM game so I started with Lyon again

Kept Karim Benzema this time he has scored 18 Goals in 17 games for me

Also signed Jefferson Farfan from PSV really good signing I feel

We are 4 points ahead in the Ligue1 and I should get outta the group stages of the European Championship (Have Man U and Lazio in my group)

I can't decide where to start....Celtic, who I support...Bristol Rovers, who are my second team, or the ultimate challenge of taking a club up from Conference to Champions League. Any advice?

Just won the CL and the Premiership in my second season, the Premiership was won very early on, the CL run had a lot of memorable games - top of the list the 5-2 win at the Emirates in the semi. Beat the Scousers 4-3 in the final, too.

Just finished my first season with Crewe, we got promoted despite expecting to finish mid table and everyone is happy. Man United just sacked Alex Ferguson and have offered me the job, and I don't know whether to take it or not. Decisions, decisions!

Yes IMO, as long as you don't screw it up, otherwise I shall not be happy.

I have been going at a rate of just under a season a day since I'm home with nothing to do for Easter, just finished my seventh, secured my fifth Premiership and my fourth Champions League. This final was the first time I had to defeat a non-English team, Barcelona, now managed by Wenger. Arsenal, now managed by Pat Rice, are my nearest challengers every season, and have won the other two Premierships, and free-scoring Tottenham, managed by Keegan, have ousted Liverpool from the usual top four.

In other leagues it's largely as you were, Lyon have won every French League, must be something like sixteen in a row now, all told.

How do you guys rinse through seasons so fast? xD It took me like 22 hours of play to make it through one season, let alone a season a day. And I barely make any changes during a game and I have it commentary only other than goals and it's on the fastest speed!

It's not that anymore, I'm running a lot of leagues now, I'm playing for quite extended periods when I have nothing to do, and getting through just less than a season a day (used to be able to do more). Think it's just due to having a good machine. Also holiday between matches, every time saving thing I can do really.

Just went back to 01/02 and Everton, won my fourth Premiership in a row, however in the Champions League we saw the usual fare in the semis, pilloried the Celtic goal for 210 minutes then went out on penalties. Happily though Celtic went on to beat Liverpool in the final... Liverpool have now made five finals in a row, despite being a fairly ****e side.
