The Wheel is Forever
Please don't get into the monkey thing again. That part is done, and I'm going to close this thread if people start calling Symonds a monkey again. And people are going to start getting bans.
Wow, what a ****ing prick. Here are full comments by Hayden. Loved his imitation of Sharma's accent.
So true.Have to say though that Hayden making fun of the Sharma's accent in that context is as racially insensitive and offensive as anything else that has allegedly been said during the course of this tour.
He's a Queenslander, straight out of the Mahatma Cote fan club. You expected anything else?Have to say though that Hayden making fun of the Sharma's accent in that context is as racially insensitive and offensive as anything else that has allegedly been said during the course of this tour.
At this moment pakistan is safer for them than India.I know you guys told Cevno to stop stirring earlier in the thread when he said the Aussies won't know what hit them when they go to India later this year, but he's absolutely right.
I've seen first hand how well Aussie cricketers have been treated over there but this current mob isn't doing themselves any favours and all this sniping is angering a lot of people over there. Suffice to say I hope they've got top class security with the team when they tour there. I doubt there will be any kiss-ass Indian fans over there anymore.
I don't think that anything beats getting ur country into the final [of any tourney] and playing for itYou know, if I was a Sri Lankan player, I would be down on my knees thanking whatever deity that they wish to pray to that I get to fly away and leave this ridiculous series behind them early. Getting away from this nonsense would be a far greater reward than being in the finals.
Mainly because it's not really news to anyone here in Aus. We've known a lot of these guys are like that for a long time. Why do you think no Aussies of Indian descent support them?I'm surprised more fuss hasn't been made of Hayden and making fun of Sharma's accent. That to me is more offensive and insensitive than any comments on Harbhajan.
Nah its fairly common to make fun of the Indian accent here. Happens on television adverts, comedy shows etc.I'm surprised more fuss hasn't been made of Hayden and making fun of Sharma's accent. That to me is more offensive and insensitive than any comments on Harbhajan.
The gutless BCCI are backing of scared of the wealth of CA?Decision on Hayden is CA's internal matter: BCCI.
Good stuff I feel as there is no point having further controversies imo.
Disagreed here. If the BCCI had said some thing, people would be accusing them of being power mongering crooks. It seems that the BCCI is never right one way or the other according to people. Also, the BCCI can hardly be termed as a scared entity given the financial power it has in the game at the moment, so it is definitely not out of cowardice that they resort this approach. The gutless BCCI are backing of scared of the wealth of CA?
If it had been the other way round then that would have been said by the aussies here.

Just seen not to be offensive. Making fun of an Asian accent, whilst still occuring fairly often, is seen to be more offensive and less acceptable.
Ugh. I'm saddened by this.Mainly because it's not really news to anyone here in Aus. We've known a lot of these guys are like that for a long time. Why do you think no Aussies of Indian descent support them?
All that interview did was confirm that view.
Please stop it cevno. It cannot go to court. A person is allowed to give his or her opinion on another person if they really believe it to be true.It can go to court ,if harbhajan and the BCCI wants it to.
Why can it not go to court? What will be the outcome is a different issue.
I've wondered this recently... are you one such person? Had always presumed until recently that you were an Australian of Australian descent.Mainly because it's not really news to anyone here in Aus. We've known a lot of these guys are like that for a long time. Why do you think no Aussies of Indian descent support them?
You got me wrong there.Disagreed here.
An important final series is coming up and India doesn't want to get involved in any stupid controversies before it focussing on the game. I was hoping that the BCCI would take a similar line and it is a very mature approach imo.
