I am not agreeing with Hayden's honesty in saying what he thinks. I don't think that was the right route. But I can't deny I agree with his appraisal of Harbhajan's behaviour.

Funny thing about racism and racist comment..... Indian public have given hero's welcome to the likes of Lara and Richards and yet when one guy with those origins who plays for Australia and who does act like an ape gets called a "monkey", it is racism???


As I said, totally different to when Lehmann referred to the whole Lankan team as something extremely offensive AND racist.....


I agree it CAN be considered a racist comment and therefore should be banned, but to suggest and actually prove that it was intended to be racist would be a big big leap.

Same Indian public made monkey noises and gestures at Symonds. That IS a racist thing to do. It doesn't mean all Indians are racist, however.

It has everything to do with those statements being correct or not because their correctness is what I agree with, nothing else. I didn't agree with Hayden doing that, but I agree with his judgment on Harbhajan Singh.

I know you guys told Cevno to stop stirring earlier in the thread when he said the Aussies won't know what hit them when they go to India later this year, but he's absolutely right.

I've seen first hand how well Aussie cricketers have been treated over there but this current mob isn't doing themselves any favours and all this sniping is angering a lot of people over there. Suffice to say I hope they've got top class security with the team when they tour there. I doubt there will be any kiss-ass Indian fans over there anymore.

Yup. Australia are quickly going from the team I liked the most after India in 2005, to probably the team I least like to read, hear or even watch. Sucks because they play such good cricket. on Symo being called a monkey, well, as far as I know 'monkey' is not racist in Ind, if i m not wrong and i would go by those parameters

and on the lighter side
- monkeys are acrobatic and so is Symo
- monkeys make faces and so does Symo
