Cricket Web: All-Time Legend
As Australian captain, he's guaranteed to earn more than a million bucks per year. From the perspective of the owner and from the the fans, that's what what I care about. I don't care why he does it, what he thinks of it, what he does outside it. You are bringing irrelevent considerations into the argument.
As long as they perform, no one could give a toss what the overpaid brats think about anything anyway.
Still don't get what that has to do with anything. And I bet if this continues for 10 years, you'll see kids wanting to play for an Indian city.
As one of the world's best players, he's guaranteed to get an IPL contract whether he performs or not
At this stage, he will play a handful of games and get paid $100,000 whilst stopping off between tours. It's little more than a very lucrative holiday that's guaranteed for 3 years and has zero implications for his real and better paying job - not much motivation I'm afraid
BTW, friend of mine's son is one of the world's best golfers. He earned more than $20 million in endorsements last years and gets paid quarter of a mill just to turn upto golf tourneys.
Guess what my 2 year old has in his hand, a cricket bat or a golf club?
