They play alot of games, there's the pressure to win the game for the county being the pro player, I'd back their FC comp to be better than ours as well (though I think ours has gained ground).
Watched Otago play CD at Pukekura Park today. WE WON!!! On the subject of Taylor his 47 was disappointing, almost all the boundaries were his slog sweep and he heavily favoured the onside, can he please learn to use other areas of the ground? Oram got out in an embarrasing way again, charged down the pitch, inside edge onto the stumps. Sinclair made a nice fifty and Robbie Schaw, bar three deliveries which were all hit for six, did reasonably. The bowlers on both sides had a few disputes with the umpires but I wasn't in a good position to make judgement on wides, LBWs etc (When the bowler was coming in from the city end to a right hand batsman I was sitting at midwicket, in the path of Taylors slog sweep, forgive me if I've got the fielding position wrong)
Otago struggled with their bowling though Bradley Scott looked very good early on. Strangely Aaron Redmond didn't bat at all despite being a number three, even when the tail was exposed so he must have some sort of injury issue. Apart from Brendan McCullums fifty the Otago top order came and went cheaply and it took Greg Todd (batting at 6 or 7 IIRC) and Bradley Scott to get them to 172 off 20 overs. CD took roughly 14 to 18 overs to complete the chase for the loss of four wickets. (I can't recall what over they wrapped it up)
