Tuffey just slogged McCullum to hell and back so those figures are something like 3/40 now. Can't believe I was at the TAB too late to take some of the $3.20 they had on offer for Otago to beat Auckland.
Despite a quickfire 82 from Piggy Styris, Otago are likely to get up, with Nathan Leslie McCullum grabbing 3-27.
I think Bruce Martin SHOULD be closer but you're probably right there. How did Patel go? If he got whacked around a bit it will be interesting to see how the selectors go about picking the spin twins on a turning pitch. Patel hasn't really hit much form this season bar a couple of one day games and the 20/20s.McCullum - should be closer to the national side.
Yeah Merchant is playing for the Northern Districts A team at the National Provincial A Tournament. It's the level below first-class cricket really. Joey Yovich, Grant Robinson, Brad Wilson & Kane Williamson have all played first-class cricket this season, but are currently down with the A side. The ND side are doing well at present after a 163-run win over Canterbury. Not sure what Merchant's chances are at playing first-class, I guess it depends on what sort of contract he has with ND.Noticed on the new zealand cricket site, that their is a young sydney batsmen playing for northern districts in the A series, his name is cameron merchant, has played 2nd xl cricket for NSW.
Is this your 2nd xl competition and what chances of merchant playing first class cricket in NZ.
I saw the name tim mccintosh their is that you tim.
