JASON seriously needs to watch one of those Chris Marting batting tips video that's posted on Youtube. Bloody hilarious that.

Geez if your banking on your number 11 to get runs for you, then you have problems if your batsmen can't get them.

Considering you're the only one who calls him that on the entire Internet it's not entirely surprising that no one recognised the name.
He is known in all the literature that I have read as Ikey, but I see that CricketArchive, Cricinfo and Wikipedia all refer to him as Isaac (which, I assure you, has more to do with a lack of research on their part than any error on that of yours truly).

From memory and I am thinking about 1953 or it might be 1956 one Ray Lindwall batted 11 for Australia
He'd be a good shout then, has a couple of test tons, doesn't he? I'm currently reading My Spin on Cricket by Richie & he's very complimentary about Lindwall's batting; say's he's worthy of consideration as an all-rounder.

Yep your correct. HS of 118.

Played rugby league for St George Dragons didn't he?

he was a goal kicker, I think he missed one from the sideline that cost St. George a grand final.

Hope I am right about the batting 11:unsure:

This thread is about as useful debate as stating Ricky Ponting is the Wortst Bowler to turn his arm over in a test match ever.

Eilleen Grimshaw is the worst at Number 11, but then again anyone after Elsie Tanner was destined to be left in her shadow.

Except he isn't. Not by a long shot. Ask Michael Vaughan. Andrew Strauss must have a fair shout for worst ODI bowler ever, though. Cricinfo couldn't even work out how to describe it.

Herschelle Gibbs is currently described on CricInfo as "right-arm bowler", which is about as bad an insult as anyone can come-up with for a bowler.

I can bowl better than him, by a fair bit, incidentally, as I recall.
