191 balls to make 50 runs is probably a bit of a factor also. Can't remember the G being so empty for a test ever. Heat is probably the biggest factor.
Well I doubt people knew that this morning. but they probably didn't expect a full day of cricket, so the beach probably seemed a better option.191 balls to make 50 runs is probably a bit of a factor also.
Haha yeah could have discouraged a fair few seeing the way India were batting.191 balls to make 50 runs is probably a bit of a factor also.
Yeah, jury's out on him, but the judge just doesn't see it.Got away with murder there Ganguly
I reckon they would have expected a full day of cricket, I know I did.Well I doubt people knew that this morning. but they probably didn't expect a full day of cricket, so the beach probably seemed a better option.
I was just about to post exactly the same question - its a pisser IMO...Yeah, jury's out on him, but the judge just doesn't see it.
Anyone other than me like that Honda ad?
Everyone I was talking to last night (who admittedly are more 'average punters' than students of the game) thought India wouldn't last out the day. And they might be right - I think its 50/50 from here whether we have to play tomorrow.I reckon they would have expected a full day of cricket, I know I did.
What do you think the current crowd figure is? I think less people turn up to matches in Australia if they know Australia won't be batting.
That's the tentative title of his forthcoming autobiography IIRC. 'Ruining Damien Martyn's career: The Billy Bowden story' also another popular choice.Bowden - 'can't think of a humourous way to signal out, so not out'
Nah, same.I prefer watching Australia in the field, but I'm probably in the minority.
Have you seen the scores ? The last minute shuffling of the batting order ? Screwing Dravid. Selecting 2 left-arm seamers, one of whom is a swing bowler. Why are there so many anti-India trolls?
When I attend a match, I really enjoy watching Australia in the field. But not for the entire day. It's always good to see us get some wickets and then make some runs. Knowing that we definitely won't bat this day would get a few people not wanting to sit in the heat that you were earlier talking about.Everyone I was talking to last night (who admittedly are more 'average punters' than students of the game) thought India wouldn't last out the day. Is meant to be good tbh. Heard Chapter 14 is titled The only LBW I know is "Let's Be Weird".That's the tentative title of his forthcoming autobiography IIRC. 'Ruining Damien Martyn's career: The Billy Bowden story' also another popular choice.
Yeah, I'm a big Indian fan. How hard were you dropped on your head as a baby? ""Have you seen the scores ? The last minute shuffling of the batting order ? Screwing Dravid. Selecting 2 left-arm seamers, one of whom is a swing bowler.
And you are surprised.
No onder these guys make so much money for so little application and effort. It's because of fans like you
Probably the combination of factors. I wouldn't be surprised to find out there are 20000 there - the G is deceptive because its so big, and because the stands go back a fair way in the shade but you can't see those parts on telly. When I attend a match, I really enjoy watching Australia in the field. Yeah India might not bat out the entire day, but like it would be so close to being the whole day that it wouldn't stop me from going to the match.
