Cricket Web: All-Time Legend
Jesse Ryder - It'll be a big disappointment if he never plays. Really needs to sort his attitude out and show he's willing to do the hard yards with Wellington. Possibly needs to keep his cool until Bracers is booted.
Rob Nicol - Doing well, and still young. Looks solid, looking at a decent year ahead
Greg Hay - Not quite as experienced as Nicol, less pressure to perform at the moment. Needs to build on previous years
Aaron Redmond - Much like Nicol. May need to concentrate on batting and forget his part time bowling.
Neil Broom - Bit like Hay, possibly looks less talented. Will be interesting to see how he performs
David Houpapa - Got the talent, not so sure on his application. Want to see him grind out runs in adversity
Peter Ingram - Needs to do as well as last year. Very tough for him as his first class record is poor. Has ability to make the big scores, but a tendancy for early dismissals could see him have a shocker.
Bevan Griggs - Unless McCullum gets injured, he has little chance. Even a stack of runs won't really see him in contention. Needs to persevere.
Tim Southee - Too young to see him in international colours this year. Would be good to see him average around 15-20 with the bat to prove he could be a good number 9. Looking for him to maintain a low economy rate, not so bothered about the average in this year. KEEP FREE OF INJURIES
Corey Anderson - Too young to judge. It'd be good to see him get some decent game time, low expectations.
Richard Sherlock - We'll be lucky to see him play, frankly.
Hamish Bennet - Needs to keep developing. Haven't seen enough of him to judge his weaknesses.
Bradley Scott - Not good enough to play for the Blackcaps. Needs to find another 10kmph with his bowling to stand a chance at international level. Frankly shouldn't get a chance ahead of Southee
James McMillan - Not good enough. Picked on name alone.
Paul Hitchcock - Not good enough. Better options around. Still, Bracers seems to like him from what I understand. Could get some 20:20 game time.
Graeme Aldridge - Make or break year for Aldo. He's not getting any younger, and he'll be relying on continued injury problems with Mills, Tuffey and Franklin and a poor start to the summer from Martin to get a break. Maybe needs to get rid of the mullet.
Matthew Harvie - Needs to keep developing. Haven't seen enough of him to judge his weaknesses.
