Durham win easily at Derbyshire (by 7 wickets with 12 and a half overs left) & go top of the Div 2 table with 10 points. One game left, at home against bottom club Glamorgan, who haven't won a game in this competition all year. So they really should get both points there.

Somerset are on 9 points having 2 to play. Surrey & Yorkshire still in the hunt too...It's going to be an exciting end to the season.

I'm pretty hopeful that Durham will go up, if we get the 2 points at Glamorgan that'll be 12 points, plus we've got the best net run rate in the division.
Yea a win would see Durham promoted definitely, only Somerset and Surrey can mathematically catch Durham but they play each other so they can't both overtake Durham.

One of the worst FC bowling attacks i've seen playing for Leicestershire right now. Gotta be worried about their future now that Broad and Masters are off at the end of the season. Even New, who I always thought was a wicketkeeper, has now seemingly been forced to become a frontline bowler!

Shocking.

Durham disgracing themselves by giving Mahmood the only two wickets to fall so far.

I could just about accept that there is a faint possibility that he could bowl one decent delivery today, but two in a day is as good as impossible.

Must be an absolute minefield, regardless that's a joke of a performance if we want to win the county championship.

Well, Lancashire are 11/3 after 6 overs, so I can only presume that it really is an aboslute dog of a pitch. Irritating, because the lack of batting points could prove vital at the end of the season.

As long as Durham win, that's the important thing. Trouble is Yorkshire look like they're going to be Mushtaq-ed to death by Sussex.

I knew there'd be a flurry of runs once our openers came off, Plunkett is becoming a liability these days while Ben Harmison is just part-time stuff.

Well, unsurprisingly, the pitch inspectors are going to investigate the pitch at Blackpool after 18 wickets fell on the first day (apparantly 14 of the wickets fell at one end).

Lancashire made 137-8, after they bowled Durham out for 166. Glen Chappell took 7-53, while Gibson has figures of 6-44 so far.

Durham were 92-1 at one stage as well. That's Lancashire's title chances gone, no way we can win unless we get hold of some batting points.

Gibson takes 8 against Lanchashire, but its not good enough to save first innings points. Sutton and Mahmood had a 69 run partnership which saved Lanchashire - Sutton scoring 66* and Mahmood 41.

Can anyone tell me what Gibson's average is this season? I'm assuming its sub 20.

Moeen Ali scores 77 against Hampshire, though they lost outright. Its good to see him fianlly get a FC run.

Also, Adil Rashid displayed his excellent batting form with 59* as Yourkshire face the follow on.

This is getting ridiculous down at Blackpool, Lancashire all out for 188, Durham 166 & 103/5

25 wickets fall in 4 sessions.

Gibson's average this season is 20.31. Strike rate of 36.9.
67 wickets in 13 matches, second only to Mushtaq Ahmed in Division 1

Durham all out for 185, which means Lancashire need 168 runs to win.

Who knows what'll happen, either team could win it...the only thing i'd put money on is that Lancashire will be docked points for preparing a substandard pitch.
