Its Israel England are playing not France or Brazil where we big centre backs where you need a Drogba or Henry like striker to be able to counter them.

In a 4-3-3 yea, as i said that won't work since Owen being all alone in the centre will be bad since he the main goal-scorer. But in a 4-3-2-1, Cole & Young will be more very close to Owen not a lot of height no but its alot of movement their which i think will unsettle Israel's very organised backline much more than playing with Heskey as a target man since after all even though Ben Haim is their only foreign defender blokes like Gershon & Benaldo have good reputations around Europe apparantley.

Not saying that side & formation is a must but could be a very effecient of way of breaking down Israel very quickly since their game will just be to defend England out of it & break on the counter..

which means all three of them are isolated.....and as i said before your idea is still effectively a 4-3-3 formation

one feels that playing two proper strikers would actually be a more effective way of doing this, rather than having nobody who can actually hold the ball up playing.

tbh you are much more likely to come up against rough and tough centre backs against nations like israel as opposed to brazil etc..

Er. Tal Ben Haim > Lucio or Gallas in terms of strength.

And Henry isn't a target-man. Where'd you get that from?

Or Alan Green says how it was a disgraceful performance, how everyone playing was a disgrace, how McClaren is a disgrace and how everyone should be sacked because of it - except for Gerrard probably.
