Twenty years is an awfully long time to be honest & Gerrard isn't close to being the world's best player currently.
Better (or have been) & playing now: Kaka, Ronaldinho, Cristiano Ronaldo, Eto'o, Messi & Henry. If you're gonna compare keepers to outfield players I'd also rate Cech & Buffon as better too.

Eh, how on earth can you compare Steven Gerrard to Samuel Eto'o, Lionel Messi and Thierry Henry, they play in completely different positions.

Basically just look at most top international teams (Brazil, Argentina, Holland, Germany, Italy, France, England) over the past 20 years. A big chunk of the players there in each team are better than Gerrard. Then you look at the Premiership, no particular order just with a quick think: Zola, chief poseur, Cantona, Shearer, Sheringham, Ronaldo, Schmeicel, Cech, Seaman, Adams, Vieira, Keane, Bergkamp. There'll be many I've forgotten.

FFS, you can't compare a central midfielder (which Gerrard is) to Central Defenders, Wingers and Strikers, they have different things which there good that.

No, cause Pele was a striker, you'd be able to compare them if Sol Campbell was a striker as well but he wasn't.
