all are crap at international level.
Mediocre at worst.all are crap at international level.
Sobers?Sir Gary
Schmeichel.Schmichael's son is so much a mini-me of his old man it's uncanny.
Quite petite for a keeper it must be said, which is odd given Schmichael snr was such a beast of a man.
Anglicised it.Schmeichel.
people who phone that program largely are idiots tbh, its very rare you get anyone on it who knows what they are talking about, not helped when its often hosted by DJ Spoony, Mark Lawrenson or Ray Stubbs, the latter two being incredibly boring and incapable of debating, and Spooney being clueless about football.I hear someone was on 606, "sack Fergie". Simple idiocy.
and yet....you think frank lampard is a good player for england?!!all are crap at international level.
where i agree that his bashing of referees is very tedious indeed, to the point where i turned the radio off today...i have to say i like him some of the time simply because he has an opinion, there are very few commentators on the TV who will say anything other than "this is a thrilling contest" or "he is a wonderful player" etc... when in fact the match currently in progress has been absolutely dreadful, the ITV crew are particularly guilty of this, mind you the BBC arent much better...but the list of crap commentators i could make would easily outnumber those i thought to be any good. Can't believe I keep occasionally listening to BBC radio coverage of football games. Alan Green is the most abysmal commentator I've ever had the displeasure of listening to. He's worse than the average idiotic drunk you'll find watching the game in a pub.
I don't know why they even bother having a game of football to commentate on, everyone should forget about the game itself, lets just rant about the referee for 2 hours instead.
I can't believe such an incompetent dolt can get anywhere near a job as a commentator on an allegedly professional and international organisation like the BBC.
Nah, Scaly's right. Green was refreshingly good at first, his slagging of games, player and officials was a genuinely fresh, now you feel his opinions are just deliberately courting controversy. Also him being an occasional presenter of phone-ins seriously contravenes his commentary. After all if he keeps on telling people a player should play for England, and he then commentates on a match said player plays, his impartiality goes out the window. Lots of talk about "good balls, but no-one made the run", which is quite wrong as many only have the radio commentary to make up their minds.where i agree that his bashing of referees is very tedious indeed, to the point where i turned the radio off today...i have to say i like him some of the time simply because he has an opinion, there are very few commentators on the TV who will say anything other than "this is a thrilling contest" or "he is a wonderful player" etc... when in fact the match currently in progress has been absolutely dreadful, the ITV crew are particularly guilty of this, mind you the BBC arent much better...but the list of crap commentators i could make would easily outnumber those i thought to be any good.
Next you'll be saying the capital of the country he hails from is called Copenhagen.Anglicised it.
Only murdered them in terms of possession. The really worrying thing was that, apart from a couple flicks off Nani and a number of corner kicks, there weren't too many decent chances either.Tom Halsey said:As for United, I'm actually slightly worried now. Granted I haven't seen the game, but from what I've heard we once again murdered them and didn't score, and as said earlier in the thread that's exactly what Arsenal did last year...
kk.We'll see on Sunday.
Goteborg imo.Next you'll be saying the capital of the country he hails from is called Copenhagen.
I think we're playing very well, the only problem is our finishing. Basically, we need to take more shots. We're looking for the perfect ball in and it's just not gonna happen. We have to chance our arm a bit more or else we'll never score. Once Tevez gets going we should be okay though, and Ole and Saha aren't too far away from returning I hear....so big match against the Spurs on the weekend. As for United, I'm actually slightly worried now. That said I still think we'll get going soon, and anyone writing us off yet is nuts - 35 games left, plus the African Nations really screws Chelsea and Arsenal over (if the latter were really challengers anyway). And Liverpool simply won't win the league.
I hear someone was on 606, "sack Fergie". Simple idiocy.
Meh, that'll be us by the end of the seasonNaah, the team he's scored the most goals for in his career.
Relegation for you lot, tbhI think we're playing very well, the only problem is our finishing. Basically, we need to take more shots. That'd be the greatest day in history if it ever happened.Relegation for you lot, tbh
