Smith is a good Premiership player, nothing more, nothing less, not really good enough to be at United, like it or not.

Fletcher is underrated and a very good central midfielder, is rubbish out wide though.

Eagles looks like a talent to me.
Maybe not as a regular starter but good enough for at least a squad player IMO.

A YouTube clip to gladden the heart of every red-blooded Englishman. Andoni "The Butcher of Bilbao" Goicoechea breaks Maradona's ankle with a superbly timed lunge. Apparently he had the boot that did it cast in gold & mounted for posterity. The honourary knighthood awaits, surely?

I wouldn't want someone with a hugely bad attitude at my club itbt.
Same here but I'm not a Real fan anymore. was when I was in a gloryhunting phase finding other clubs to support in other leagues. United weren't winning but unlike a gloryhunter i stuck with them.

Hahahahaha. At least find a valid reason to gloryhunt. I effectively chose a team at random in the English leagues when i was 6 and have stuck with them. Support Hannover 96 in the Bundesliga due to being born there. Support Melbourne Victory in the A League due to family connections.

That was when I first got into football. Wasn't gonna change clubs really just looking for a club in Italy and one in Spain to support. Glory hunting may have been the wrong word there.

I was having this discussion with my mate Nick last weekend. I'm with you, but he reckons he looks on the start of the season like a family funeral: you know you aren't gonna enjoy it much, but feel you have to go out of loyalty.

Mind you, he is a Town fan so knows pain.

For me that feeling kicks in a few games in when you realsise that your optimism was wildly mispalced as usual. There's no better feeling than when the players run out on the first day, it's like when you haven't had :naughty: for ages then get some, but better.
