Gerrard's free kick was a fair bit short of sensational. He'd had several soft, well placed curled shots already that were saved. This time the keeper mistimed his leap/dive badly and still nearly saved it. Trademark Gerrard control and appealing to the referee for the wrongly awarded free kick in the first place.

give it some credit, he still had to get it on target and beat the wall and keeper. as for the free kick i agree it was probably a little dramatized, however did you not see gareth barrys attempt of a foul. And they are all learning from the best diver a certain didier drogba......but hey thats football......

you take the good with the bad and i am sure there will be more free kicks given that shouldn't be and visa versa.

I am just happy that the epl has started again.

I'm so disappointed with Spurs. If they want to make the top 4 they can't be losing games like this already.

Drogba has nothing on C. Ronaldo and Luis Figo tbh

Ronaldo (when playing for United) doesn't dive nearly as much as he used to, wouldn't really call him a notable diver at all anymore. Rooney dives more often than Ronaldo does these days.

I don't think Didier would have passed on the opportunity to gain first-rate knowledge from Joe Cole either. For at one time diving was his magnum opus as a player.

Nobody did it more than Reyes in my experience, don't know if anything has changed since he left for Spain, but I'm glad he's not coming back.

Drogba is far worse then both, easierly the worse in the EPL.

Gerrard is worse then them all, so soft. :p
Pleased to see Robben mentioned, I think he is the worst by quite a long way tbh.

Worst argument. It's pretty much a prerequisite of being a "male" professional footballer that they dive to the floor and writhe around in agony if anyone comes within 50 metres of him. This is pretty much the sporting equivalent of arguing about which blade of grass is greenest.

Arsenal very lucky to escape with a win after being down 1-0 for 89 minutes. A goal in the 90th, and then Van Persie breaking the deadlock with a penalty in injury time for a 2-1 victory. Oh to be able to watch it all on Fox Sports :(

International Regular
We lost 3-2:(

But I think City put on a decent performance.
Lapses in the back line now and then.
But its a difficult task to go to Stamford Bridge and score 2 goals:)
