You won't want to face me at full pace with a white windball and a tree as the stumps. Sent down a few beamers at Nath Patrick (attempted yorkers, went horribly wrong) and he managed to 'get hit' whilst fending one delivery off, if you catch my drift.Haha, can't wait to bowl at the people on this forum on the next CW-meet up (if I can come). Especially looking forward to playing and facing Pickup (if I get the chance...).![]()
I tried to live the dream. I failed. Ended up edging it for a looping catch to the WK (Tarick at the time). It's just to see his face when I come down the pitch and smash a "moonball" back over his head or bowl him with a perfect leg spinning delivery.![]()
Was this in a real game mate?Michael Slater, Michael Bevan, Shane Lee and Brad Haddin
I had the honour of being hit for 3 x 4's in one over by Mr Slater![]()
Yeah, it was a one-off where they played some country rep teams as they travelled around to state games in 2001. We played the NSW team so there was Bracken, Clark, Clarke, etc etc. Our captain was generous enough to let me bowl at both Slater and Bevan which was nice. Was this in a real game mate?
Nice. How did you go against Bevan?Yeah, it was a one-off where they played some country rep teams as they travelled around to state games in 2001. You're allowed to name himDon't think I've bowled at anyone decent in an adult game yet, so a handful of players who have played representative cricket for Cheshire is as far as it goes. Normally it results in the ball repeatedly flying back over my head for six. Probably the best batsman that I've ever shared a pitch with was the Cheshire captain for my age group a few years back - made 85* in a cup game without a single slog, just pure timing and placement. But I wasn't allowed to bowl at him, which was probably for the best.
I think what George was getting at was that he wasn't worth naming. You're allowed to name him
Alright...I hit him in the jatz crackers! hahaNice. How did you go against Bevan?
was it?I think what George was getting at was that he wasn't worth naming.
Nice use of ****ney rhyming slang thereAlright...I hit him in the jatz crackers! haha
Admittedly it was off the inside edge, but it was still funny. I don't think he hit me for 4...went ok in the first 4 overs too had 4 overs for 13 runs, but then came the Slater over...
