Chased down 295 to win, on a slow pitch!
Hoveshire Hawks 294/5, Lees 70 (82), Draper 68 (88), Kean 56 (48), Carlton 2/45
Cymru Gurgitaters 295/2 (46.4), Greening 147 (128), Patel 79 (112), Noon 58* (31), Kerns 1/54

Greening's highest ever score! Thought I was in trouble at lunch, but TBH it never looked in doubt once we started batting, with the RRR only straying above 7 for three or four overs. I'll stay in fourth on 8 points, thanks to ****ing up my first game, but it's looking better for the rest of the season now, with the ratings finally beginning to pick up again!

RATINGS ON PAN
Cymru Gurgitaters Hoveshire Hawks
Top Order: superb strong
Middle Order: respectable respectable
Lower Order: abysmal woeful
Seam Bowling: strong proficient
Spin Bowling: proficient proficient
Fielding: feeble mediocre
*
MOTM: Greening

Have a similar sort of team in the Cup on Sunday, slightly better top order and slightly worse middle, so here's to reaching the fifth round for the first time in our history!

Later, Trev

Alright so I finished my innings with the respectable total of 293/2, despite Captain Allen's worst OD knock since Gavaskar's 34, largely thanks to the efforts of Dessie Gillespie (79 off 56 balls) and my newbie 18 year old Shaun Hislop (61 off 40 balls, the thought of what the score might have been if it wasn't for Allen's innings depresses me).

Now it's down to my pacemen to knock the opposition over on a greentop.

Edit: haha Jesus, knocking them over they are, too. I just checked back for the first time and my opening bowlers had them at 22-5 at the start of the 7th over, by the time I'd read up through the commentary another two wickets had fallen in that over. They're currently on 26-7 and my opening pair are routing them.

Edit2: All over, all out for 34 in 11.3 overs. Figures of 4-8 and 4-17 for my opening bowlers, my new spinner took a wicket and one of my random filler bowlers wrapped it up. Bowling signs are promising, just bought another quickie today and he's 17 so i've got him working in the nets and he should hopefully come pretty good.

Won my league game by 27 runs, half centuries from Challinor, AKD and McEwan plus a career best 8/37 from Pearce saw me home. They had a Windiesesque collapse from 198-1 to 234 all out.

Easy ten-wicket win yesterday against The Death Knights. Bowled them out for 128, Watkins (3-16 and 70*) doing most of the work. Pretty happy with sensational/sensational bowling ratings on a TIE.

Borderliners lost to one of the weaker teams, which helps my title chances quite a bit. Badlands (new to div I) are still unbeaten and top of the table, but I should beat them. NorCricket dead last on the table, rather sudden turnaroud considering they've won div I for the last four seasons.

Haha, Andy. Know how you feel. Could've gotten a gun batsman-keeper myself.

12 Bowling, 12 Consistency, 7 Stamina & 4 Fielding

I'm assuming he would be very close to respectable??

Considering training him up, i could give him 2 bowling nets, but that would mean taking them away from Meyer & Groves, who i had originally played to train up to Quality (currently superb, 21 & 20 years old). However, if i gave this bloke 2 bowling nets....he'd be around superb by the end of next season right?

How much difference does it make playing on TIE as opposed to PAN? Is there a significant difference in performance? I'm thinking that I should be able to TIE in my next league match, but don't want to slip up...

Doing fairly well in my friendly. I'm bowling first on a green pitch, I just need to keep the run rate down.

End of Over 14: 66-3, runrate=4.71
Wills 2-0-5-0
Tienie* 3 (11 balls)
Reet 25 (36 balls)
Last Wicket: Kent Run Out 14 (FOW: 47/3)

Struggled to take wickets throughout the middle overs but one of my opening batsmen has just come back into the attack and taken a hat-trick.

40.3 W Stevens to Royle
'HOWZAT!' as the dull thud of the batsman's pad is heard.
40.2 W Stevens to ****
Oh my! **** has lost his furniture! Clean gone.
40.1 W Stevens to Reet
An edge which flies straight to first slip. No movement from Stevens, he just put it in the right place and Reet did the rest.
End of Over 41: 187-6, runrate=4.56
Stevens 6-0-27-3
Nethercott* 1 (2 balls)
Tienie 63 (91 balls)

Hoping to keep them to around 230.

Edit- Not sure why the name is censored.
