Hewitt well and truly putting up a fight against Nadal! Smashed him in the first set, lost the 2nd and its 5-5 in the third! He just broke Nadal who was serving for the match!

Could go either way, but what it comes down to is Hewitt is playing better tennis than someone paying $7.50 before the match.

Hewitt was great against Nadal, now he only has to stay fit and keen and he can get back towards the top 10...

Ive got a sneaky feeling feds may win tonight, im really excited about this clash for some reason, dunno why...

Federer wins the match, 2-6, 6-2, 6-0

Massive win! Nadal winning only 2 games after the first set must hurt.

Ouch, I thought Nadal had the wood over Federer, even when they weren't playing on clay.

He used to have the wood on him on most surfaces, until the Masters Cup where Federer smashed him. He still has the wood on him on clay, hence why Federer was so relieved to finally beat Nadal on clay, and in a final.

Awesome stuff. Was out in the evening and just managed to catch the presentation ceremony but was so hyper when I saw it on tv.

not true, nadal has mostly beaten him on clay and the slower hardcourts and the reason why their career head-to-head is so skewed in nadal's favour is only because federer reaches at least the finals in most tournaments he plays(ironically his all-court brilliance works against him here)...while on grass and the faster surfaces, nadal more often than not falls before the final(wimbledon '06 was an exception) so federer doesn't get to play him on his strong surfaces often enough...another thing, federer did beat him in wimbledon last year before the masters...in any case, based on hamburg, looks like he is slowly figuring out how to beat this guy on the slow courts as well...

Roger was paying 3.50 just before the match, there was a lot of money on Nadal late.

Roger's french odds have fallen immensely.

id like to think what i do with my money doesnt have any bearing on the performances of roger federer on the other side of the world...
It's something known as 'Mental Energy'. If you had of put money on Federer, your thinking would have been all about Federer winning, and it would have affected the spiritual world, and therefore does have a bearing.

Roger won't win the French now IMO. This win shouldn't have happened, he should have waited till the French :p

haha, indeed, hope he wins it though, deserves nothing less imo.

In other news, i'm quite surprised at Lleytons good form in the last fortnight, i guess though the real test will come in the french open. If he can make the last 16, or 8, it could well be the start of his climb back to the top 10, whether he can get to a level where he's able to compete for grand slams again is the big question though imo.

Gael Monfils has is also showing a bit of form again, this week is the first time he's won back to back matches since the Australian Open...

Monfils has been such a let-down this year, promised so much and has not come close to delivering so far.

Hope he beats Roddick tonight. He's won the first set 7-5, let's see if he can take it out.

Also, Chela was paying $3.40 against Gonzalez tonight. Chela is a lot better than the bookies give him credit for, so I threw a bit on him and he won in straight sets.
