Anyone with expericne in England V, would I be able to get a decent seamer for roughly £400000? Not looking for trainee, will probably get someone older so I can get someone better for cheaper.

Depends what you call decent, you're looking at roughly prof-med 30yos with feeble stamina for that sort of money.

Got a pretty tough oppononent for my game, I'll almost definitely be knocked out.

I'm might be going through to the next round I reckon, pretty crappy lineup with nowt more than prof spin rating but they have some pretty good players so I'm not sure why their ratings are so poor.

Steven Mametsa - 19 yo, BT Rating=72,153
RH Batsman, RFM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, invigorated
A defensive player with competent leadership skills and feeble experience.
Alan Mead - 19 yo, BT Rating=27,550
LH Batsman, LFM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, energetic
An attacking player with strong leadership skills and feeble experience.
Jeff Molewa - 21 yo, BT Rating=26,698
LH Batsman, LFM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, sublime
A steady player with competent leadership skills and abysmal experience.
Toby Dolan - 18 yo, BT Rating=25,588
RH Batsman, RFM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, energetic
A destructive player with mediocre leadership skills and worthless experience.

Last game ratings:

Code:
		nevar saprast
Top Order: competent
Middle Order: woeful
Lower Order: worthless
Seam Bowling: competent
Spin Bowling: proficient

Won the toss and I'm bowling, rested a couple of weaker 1st team players (Tawanda and Tynan). Given the engine doesn't seem to have any more batting aggression = more risk philosophy in it I figure chasing and have the engine set the right aggression to chase down targets is the way to go, since the main way you lose there is if you get bowled out and there generally aren't many wickets falling.

13-2 after 2. Wicket for Howlett (competent-respectable) and Summers (slightly better...)

End of Over 20: 215-2, runrate=10.75
Sweeney 4-0-44-1
Hamshaw* 74 (44 balls)
Morrison 24 (11 balls)

Last Wicket: Lennon lbw b. Travis 90 (FOW: 158/2)

nice

Just looking at my match properly, i had some insane bowling efforts.

Code:
Name O M R W nb wd
Poke 3.4 1 8 2 0 0
Wikus 3 0 14 4 0 0
Rowlands	4 2 5 2 0 0
2/5 (4) in a Twenty20 match, insane, even pokes 2/8 (3.4) is awesome. Wikus quite handy too. Probably get a Div. I team next round, even if i dont, i doubt ill get too much further.

Haha. I can't believe I won this.

The WrongUns 2/190 (20)
Canning 2/39

Magical Ponies 1/194 (19.3)
Griffin 76* (50), Tedstone 75* (36), Kilkenny 42 (31)

Tedstone seems to have gone nuts, hit 5 sixes and 5 fours, while Griffin hit 5 sixes and 3 fours. Going by the ratings though, I probably didn't deserve it, but meh.

Magical Ponies The WrongUns
Top Order: respectable superb
Middle Order: proficient mediocre
Lower Order: abysmal worthless
Seam Bowling: superb respectable
Spin Bowling: strong quality
Fielding: woeful woeful

Game on! :)

Herbert in on a 28-ball fifty, need 86 from 58. Looks close.
I'll be surprised if you don't win, what I said earlier about bowling first stands. Except for mismatches and for teams that have wicket-takers (ie gun bowlers) you're pretty much boned if you bat first.

Teams barely lose wickets, so you go aggressive enough to chase the target, don't lose the wickets, win.

Been bowling first in Battrick since beta testing tbh. :p Slightly more risk in 50 overs of a BT-collapse, but it usually works that way.

Looks like you had an easy win.

I don't think I've seen any genuine BT-collapses in BT20 yet (as opposed to utter mismatch = 30ao type stuff), probably why chasing is so effective. Although I might see one if Rodgie's Pup loses another wicket...

Choke on the cards here. Needed 25 off 24, it's turned into 14 off 9...*breathes out* now three off six after Herbert smashed their best bowler for six.
