Forgotten Cricketers?

International Captain
Yeah, Dwayne Smith.

Though TBF, he's probably a better bowler than Muller was in his Test career.
Hes not all that bad tbh. Asides from his already mentioned bowling, his batting average does tend to take a hit due to his Shahid Afridiesque approach, but that can still be useful at times.

Don't seen what was so wrong with him. 7 wickets from 2 tests at 36.85, wasn't ever dismissed, and took two catches. By comparison, after two tests, Shane Warne had 1 wicket at 228, 20 runs and one catch. Glenn McGrath after two tests, had six wickets at 42.16, no runs and no catches.
True. So very true.

The most easily forgotten cricketers are,I think Mohammed Azharuddin and Saeed Anwar. They were greats and the majority is not consideriing them so

No-one's forgetting Mohammad Azharuddin's greatness as a batsman or captain, just remembering that in the end the most salient aspect of his career was that he was a fixer of matches.

Like when?

Debut aside, Dwayne Smith has been utterly hopeless for similar reasons to Shahid Afridi.

Like the first game of the World Cup, for example.

I hate Dwayne Smith's batting with a passion really, but to say it can never be useful would be foolish.

I was talking more about Tests, TBH, he's played the odd decent ODI knock.

Yeah, I remember him - always liked the look of him, too, TBH - best Indian Test opener of my lifetime, undoubtedly.

Sehwag isn't an opener, though - he only got the spot in a makeshift role, and he's only been as ridiculously successful there as he has been because Pakistan seem determined to drop him about twice per Test.

And Australia in one series, too.
