doubt they'd go with that team but i would... of course with no Watto we'll have to rely on Hodge/White/Voges to bowl the 10 overs.. and from what ive heard about Voges' bowling.. hes quite handy

Whilst I understand that there is an agreement between the 2 countries to play this tournament every year, you have to question going through with it before the wc.

Lee is less than a 50% chance to make the cup according to the doctor
Clarke is on his way home, so he's obviously shot
Administrators need to learn their players arent robots and need a rest from time to time
Anyway, today was just one of those days - saw the first dozen or so overs of the Kiwi innings and there must have been at least 25 play and misses.
Another day, another result.

Great stuff from Gavin Larsen during the post-match; he couldn't contain himself. Absolutely rub it in. Loved Hussey's "We can't get any worse... hopefully" comment.

pup, your right, fleming was indeed lucky to win the toss and field. But, you have to admit that the New Zealand bowled extremely well

Yeah I just realized that as well. Anything over a 7-wicket win would have been the biggest margin for New Zealand alone. But a 10 wicket win is the biggest ever against an Aussie team ever.

Little point in picking Jaques, Voges and White but not Watson, given Watson is going to the WC and those three aren't. Watson isn't going to get his form back by carrying drinks.
