Watson will come good. Don't you worry about Watson.
oh god...he bowls half volleys.. if not its half trackers..

as a batsman hes not that bad... but wouldn't make the aussie team in batting for sure..

i prolly prefer Voges bowling than Watto :S :S

His bowling has been pathetic since he came back from injury. But he bowled so well last year that you can't really ignore it - he averaged under 20. Can't really say he was any worse than Johnson today either - in fact I think he bowled quite decently today, just didn't get any movement.

When was the last time the aussies were in such a bad slump in form. Since the perth game v/s NZ, the aussie graph has certainly nose-dived, and all these injuries aren't gonna help either.

i agree, but i never believe in Watson in the first place

like i said its my team not what i think it wil be

Watson is ****
Bat him up the order where he should of been and he will do good. Haddin is more suited to where Watson was batting.

Prince watson never gets any movement he is basically a hit the deck sort of a bowler.

yea true in the CT he was good.. but i think that came down to the other 4 fast bowlers bowling brilliantly and the batsmen really targetted Watto and sometimes didnt pay off...

in saying that i remember he got Gayle out with one that seamed away...

Symo's bowling >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> watttttttto atm anyway....

At the moment yes, because Watson is in horrible form. But in general, there's no way in hell that's even close to being true.

Hit the deck bowlers tend to get some seam movement though, Watson included. No swing or anything, but movement off the pitch in bowler-friendly conditions. Like Oram today. Watson didn't get that today and I don't even really know why - his seam position looked quite good on a number of occassions.

My aussie side in the next game:- 1.Hayden 2.Watson 3.Hodge 4.Hussey 5.Voges 6.White 7.Haddin 8.Hogg 9.Bracken 10.Tait 11.McGrath Hogg or johnson the selection should be made according to the conditions.

Yeah, and? That's what always happens in ODIs - batsmen target bowlers and if the bowlers are good enough, they get the batsmen out. It's not like Watson went at astronomical run rates either - IIRC he went at under 4.5. So it was just good bowling really.

Let me know when Voges or Symonds averages under 20 with the ball for a whole year will you? It wasn't just the CT btw, in fact Watson bowled better in the DLF Cup than in the CT. He's also got a much better career record than Symonds does with the ball, and that's despite being a much worse bowler than he is now for most of his career.

key word was at the moment..

in saying that, id ALWAYS give Symo the ball rather to Watto if we were under pressure in a situation... like we needed to keep it tight

At the moment, I reckon Symonds's bowling would be pretty dire, considering he has an arm injury and all.

Even though Watson's record is clearly better than Symonds's? God.

Just gleefully watched highlights again:

Haddin b Bond "Ball Of The Season" for mine.

Brad Hogg was very close to smashing the stumps with his bat after getting bowled with the final ball I noticed. He had to check himself.
