Australia's rotation policy and the resting of players deserves a thread on its own.

Shouldn't be buried in a generic series thread like this or the CH thread.

Just read this thread for the last thirty pages, expecting great joy, end up being a bit depressed, TBH.

Still, great stuff from England, expect our Tabloids now to claim we're the greatest team EVER, and we'll win the World Cup easily, a fortnight after us being the biggest disgrace EVER, and we should cvatch an early plane home.

I've said it once, but I'll say it again, I may have been wrong about Plunkers, we'll see, but looks a more then decent option now. As for Sir Colly, well he's come into his own, again after me claiming he's a worse finisher then Emile Heskey. I can say I'm very pleased to be wrong

Paul Nixon. Is he really a domestic cricketer in England, or some homeless guy they picked up off the streets? I mean, his face looks like he's been abusing substances for a while and he constantly talks like a crazy homeless person.

Maybe Australia's next keeper isn't Haddin or Ronchi or whoever. maybe it's that bloke living in a cardboard box who was going to tell me the meaning of lfie if I gave him enough money for a whisky.

Actually, I don't wish to labour the point, but I'm fairly sure this is our first non-minnow overseas ODI win since Sarjah in 97 (IIRC). Scary we've been so bad for so long.

Just dumb luck we've stumbled on a winning team too; I doubt many would've picked a pace attack that includes Saj & Plunkers, an opening pair of Loye & Joyce or Nixon behind the stumps 12 months ago.

What a weird series this has been. At the start there looked to be no opposition for Australia and England were struggling to pass 100 runs and rightly being touted as the worst side to ever tour Australia, and now they white wash australia in the finals. Amazing really. As I said befoore, one of the great upsets ever in cricket imo.
