Are you serious??I used to play cricket with Cammo when he was about 16 - 17, he was a big boy then and was always a good bat.
Yep.Are you serious??
Not if they actually made an effort.First up, 5 seamers, would result in a very slow over rate.
But from a captaincy point of view, there's a need at times to slow the game down, and that is a lot harder to do if you have 5 pace bowlers, because you're behind the 8 ball for starters. Not if they actually made an effort.
So you bat Watson at 6 and Hogg at 7 then? Ridiculous option, as has been mentioned. Hogg will not bat 7.Out: Symonds, White
In: Watson, Hogg
Agreed. Finally.Sorry, ok let's try this... I had Hodge in the team initially anyway.
Gilchrist
Hayden
Ponting
Clarke
Hodge
Hussey
Watson
Hogg
Lee
Bracken
McGrath
If Symonds does pull up well, Hodge should go for Symonds.
Have you ever played cricket at any level? Honestly some of your comments are often so obviously "straight from the armchair."IMO "slowing the game down" often borders on the "unacceptible gamesmanship" and IMO those responsible deserve to suffer for it - I'd love to see games forfeited if overs weren't bowled in the allotted time, that'd put a stop to this nonsense slow over-rates.
Symonds i'm assuming won't playSymonds qualifies as "medium", and Hussey if you were desperate.
You'd like James Hopes then.I would love to have someone like Ian harvey in the side, he was the master of change in pace and superb at the death overs and a decent bat to go with all this.
