So the Sussex lads had just the one win in the whole season, in a one-day game against Gloucs.

Some good individual signs though. Ian Bailey fell just short of 1000 runs in his first season, finishing with 970 @ 31.29 with three centuries. Leading wicket-taker was, surprisingly, second-string spinner Thomas Kelly who took 35 wickets @ 37.60.

I was hoping for a ton of youth talent to buy at the end of the season but there were only 3 players to choose from. I ended up getting two, hopefully they'll contribute well to the team this season.

All-rounder Philip Skillbeck (aged 19), who has the highest second-team batting average in the team and the third-best bowling average.

Paceman Nicholas Barlow (21), who now has the best second-team bowling average in the squad.

I was hoping for a really good young batsman, since the team got rolled for less than 100 in their last 3 innings of the season.

More tough times ahead.

Quite a game that.

So Sussex have lost their first two CC games, business as usual there, but they won their first OD game and lost to Leicestershire by just 1 wicket in the Challenge Trophy. The OD team looks solid.

A week or so ago on ICC 05 with Aussie against the poms Gilchrist and M Hussey got 388 off the 50 overs with Hussey ending on 199, quite gutted he didn't bring up the double ton.

I bought this game(ICC 05) a couple of weeks. I chose Lancshire. Absolutly woeful 05 season coming last in test, ODIs, 20/20 and any other comp there is, I came last. After signing Matthew Hayden, I'm currently about half-way through the season and Hayden has already been beaking records. I'm currently first in tests, ODI, quarters in the knockout one and the only hamper on my season was coming 2nd last in 20/20. Thats me so far....
