I know we're talking about test match cricket! I don't care how they've played over the past 3-4 years. I'm commenting on how they would go in their current state and they would lose to any other major cricket nation...and probably lose very badly. I would have thought that would be pretty obvious to anyone who has watched them deteriorate to where they are now on this tour

This is against the best team in the world by a mile?.How can you judge how poorly they would supposedly play against weaker opposition.

Kind of surprised that Gilchrist hasn't be rested in the series as yet. I guess they will give Haddin a run in the Chappell-Hadlee series.

NZ are weaker opposition and we've thrashed them twice. OD and test cricket are not that far removed that form in one gives no indication of how they would go in the other. England have played diabolically in both forms of the game since they came to Australia. For English people to suggest that England are still the second best test nation at the moment is nothing short of delusional

Name me a test team that is better than England other then Australia and deserves to be the second test nation.
