Is the 4-5 months of marketing in advance of the tournament or during the tournament? This is a critical question to my vote.. Also who will be in the advertisements and will you get local actors for each country - I think this is important as Sachin Tendulkar speaking with a Chinese voice over could look silly.

Also do you have any market research showing that the design of the team shirts translates into ticket sales - this will effect my vote as well.

Thank you

plzzz del my multis
I reckon that's a fair thing to do. My first post(s) were multis because the forum was slow, so I kept pressing "send post". That's what we should assume happened with Hrithik.

(BTW, I can't because I'm not a moderator)

it will help to expand the sport globally
It's agreat idea. I thnk maybe you should try to get some mega sponsors like coca cola, MasterCard, Microsoft to sponsor these teams as well with that kind of money around cricket will definately become the most popular sport.

And btw don't let guys like matty79, voltman get u down ok. They have nothing better to do than hang around the forum 24/7 and bag every good idea anybody else has.

I've already given quite a detailed explanation as to why this is a dumb idea.

I feel OP needs to take a course in Economics to understand the concept of demand and supply.

I dont want to be a spoil sport but any idea you have is worth little. the main problem is the icc not out linning a direct path for the associates to move towards test status, maybe even odi status. for example if we look at football and the NZ team who have made it to the world cup it is because they knew what challengers lay ahead of them, NZ made it to the 1982 soccer world cup also but failed to capitlize on that success and football in NZ slowly sunk to the bottom of the sporting heap. NZ soccer said in a press conference they will not make that mistake again. in conclusion it is up to the associatess to capitilize on any success they make .. kenya, bermuda, canada, uae are all associates who have dipped their feet into the cricket world cup yet they have not capitilized on their own success. no tournment idea you come up with will change that until the associate nation changes their own mind set.. the only one i see doing this is ireland, we will wait and see what afghanistan do with their recent success..

I used to play cricket in Canada. Kids in schools don't play cricket. There is no cricket on TV. Until those things get changed then there is little the Canadian Cricket governing body can do to leverage the success the Canadian team has and take the game to the next level.

This is totally out of left field. But the best thing the Canadian cricket team could do is join up with the US and make a North American team. Might help them to win some more games. Nationalism will prevent this from happening however.

the domestic tournaments should be marketed properly and broadcasted on tv
