Haha will the ads sponsoring the cricket before the 3 match series starts cover the travel costs?

I'm sorry, I'm just picturing a TV station covering the matches, just showing your marketing ads one after another while the teams are travelling from Holland to China.
teams will be grouped so dat they req min travelling.......we will get sponsors no doubt..icc will itself be the biggest sponsor and we can rope in sachin tendulkar, ganguly.mcgrath as ambassadors

Oh that is absolutely brilliant that you can get Sachin! I can't wait until your World Series starts!

How did you select the 10 teams? Is there room for expansion? Who do you think will win? Will the TV audience get bored, and if no, how come?

How old are you Hrithik?

maybe we have another Modi in the making.
Hahaha, don't be too harsh on him mate.

24 matches just calculate per month
Thats still a fair amount, these non test match nations you named, well usually cricket isn't the most popular sport in their country and having each team play 24 matches you can't expect the fans from the non test countries to not get bored or stay interested especially if their team keeps losing, which won't help you financially either.

I think it would be better just to play a FC few games or play a few hyped 2020s to get the fans from the non test countries more interested, or maybe even have a knockout tournament but not a world series.

I think it's good that your thinking about the development of the non test countries though.

I'm Scottish, and I'd have a passing interest in this tournament at best.

No amount of silly marketing gimmicks are going to change that.

You can't gurantee they won't get bored if their team keeps losing and they play too many games, if there was a test nations version of this at the moment, some people would get bored to.

While the Pro 35 does sound inventive, I'm not sure introducing a new form of the game to novice cricket fans would be the best idea, they would be too confused and the players might have some trouble adapting at first aswell. Why not just play Pro 40 instead or 2020s?

the jersey designs and tv graphics and presentation will be awesome and stadium facilities improved
That's me sold then. Never mind that the cricket will largely be second rate, I'll have some awesome graphics to look at!

What's the need for improved stadium facilities? Who's going to be stumping the cash up for it?

It won't for the non test countries, the fans would probably find 2020 cricket appealing and thats good for cricket.

Also the 5 month schedule could work against you aswell because you don't want a tournament stretched out for a long time, I mean do you really think the fans of a team who has lost every game will want to watch it all?

Here's Titwood, home of Clydesdale CC in Glasgow, which will host this summer's ODI between Scotland and Bangladesh:

That's the pavilion, which is nicely equipped and contains everything the cricket club needs to generate revenue.

Here's the ground with temporary seating in order to host an ODI:

To make that permanent would be a huge waste of time and money. Titwood can hold about 5,000 for an ODI, which as you can see from the picture is more than adequate. That picture was taken when India toured in 2007, Titwood is very close to an area in Glasgow which is home for the majority of the city's Asian community, if they can't shift 5,000 tickets for a match vs India, they're not going to shift tickets for Scotland vs Bermuda.

Besides, where the hospitality tents are is on top of the club's net area and hockey pitches, and there's literally no land anywhere near the vicinity of the cricket club that the net area or hockey pitches can be relocated to, unless they were to purchase the playing fields of the private school immediately next door. Given that said school has just spent millions of pounds upgrading its athletics facilities, I don't see that as being a viable idea.

Upgrading the facilities would be a fruitless waste of money.

Hrithik, again, please do not simply make the same post twice, even if replying to two different posters, as it just clogs up the board. If you want to reply to two or more posts in the one go, try using the multi-quote function instead :)

The players of the non-Test teams have full-time jobs and have to take time off work to play - not sure you'd get many able to do that for the length of time you're suggesting. Might get a team out but it certainly wouldn't be full strength.

What do ticket prices have to do with the fact that upgrading the stadia is neither practical nor financially viable?
