I enjoy that every batsman in the top 6 (and nearly number 7 too) has a career average over 55 in my all-time test XI.![]()
Haha, so I do. I made the current ones a while ago and the all-time ones just then. Well, I guess I better drop Laxman then and put Dravid at 5.SJS said:You have Sachin in the Alltime Test XI but not in the current Test XI
Dravid at 4 and 5 both . Arent you asking a bit too much of himFaaipDeOiad said:Haha, so I do. I made the current ones a while ago and the all-time ones just then. Well, I guess I better drop Laxman then and put Dravid at 5.![]()
Bah, Tendulkar at 4 and Dravid at 5. :PSJS said:Dravid at 4 and 5 both . Arent you asking a bit too much of him![]()
That's entirely possible IMO.SJS said:You have Sachin in the Alltime Test XI but not in the current Test XI
You can do better than that. Put Afridi in the test sideFaaipDeOiad said:Bah, Tendulkar at 4 and Dravid at 5. :P
Maybe I'll just drop Dravid entirely and put Michael Clarke in there, in an attempt to cause an uproar on this board. He can take Bradman's place in the all-time test XI too.![]()
Just because a player is an all-time great doesn't mean he'd automatically be picked in a current World XI, which is picked on form.SJS said:You have Sachin in the Alltime Test XI but not in the current Test XI
Say what? Mr Afridi has done what lately? Aside from his 5 for 11 against Kenya he's taken 9 wickets in 9 matches at 33.22 with an economy of 4.86. Meanwhile his batting has spectacularly produced 130 runs @ 18.57, 58 of which came in an innings against Zimbabwe. Throw in that he's also registered 2 ducks and I'm far from convinced.FaaipDeOiad said:Current ODI World XI

What about Inzamam?SJS said:PS: on the handsome XI. There is absolutely no doubt that , by far, the best looking cricketers come out of Pakistan.
You can make a Handsome cricketers XI exclusively of Pakistani cricketers and you would have a pretty good looking bench strength too !!
PPS : Except most of their spinners, somehow![]()
Simple... he is the best late order ODI hitter in the world. His bowling is handy, but not a major selling point. Those sorts of players have as much of an impact on the result of a one day match as anybody else.Mr Mxyzptlk said:Say what? Mr Afridi has done what lately? Sarwan got 12th man, and Ponting got in ahead of him because of his captaincy and his performances against the best in the world (see WC final 2003). If Sarwan performs against Australia this summer I might be convinced, but it would take a fair bit to warrant putting him in the side ahead of Ponting.tooextracool said:amazingly enough he has b.lee and ponting ahead of gayle and sarwan......
