My point is you rate the English football team, in particular a player who isn't in the team and hasn't been for years.

So what, no big deal in that.

As for Bellamy, how exactly would he make the England team when Rooney's around?

I'm not saying he would start, but lets say Owen & Rooney were back up front again he would surely be in the squad & would challenge Crouch for the number 3 position behind the big 2.

Agreed he probably won't add anything different but he has been in good goal-scoring form & lets say again Rooney/Owen starts one of them is to be subbed Crouch maybe has a dip in from Belllamy could leapfrog him, but its all imagination no need to get worked up about it.
