Most joyous:
1) Eden Gardens and WC 2011. Cant really separate the two. Would usually put kolkata 01 above any other moment, but the world cup is just too fresh in my memory to knock it down
2) 2003 Dravid/agarkar at adelaide
3) 2008 Perth test. Oh so sweet, after the sydney debacle.
4) Laxman vs Australia part 2, Mohali
5) First odi against pakistan at karachi in the 2004 series. Seeing Miandad on the balcony showing moin khan how to replicate his sharjah six was terrifying. Fantastic end to a gem of a match.
Miscellaneous joyous moments: dravid's coverdrive, Sanga's down-on-one knee drive, Sachin punch down the ground, Ambrose's celebration after he took a wicket (epic fistpumps), waqar inswinging yorker, Lara smashing a half volley through the covers off the back foot
Most depressing
1) Azharuddin's involvement in the match fixing saga. Broke my young heart, that bastard did
2) Chennai 1999 pakistan. Tendulkar playing the innings of his life, every bit as good as Lara's 153. People tend to forget that Lara was letoff, which is the only thing that separates the two. Id even put sachin's higher as it had a kind of poetic, tragic feel to it
3) Sydney 2008. Travesty.
4) 96 semi final. just awful all around, from azhar screwing up at the toss, aravinda going berserk, the mother of all collapses, and the crowd not even allowing the match to f***ing finish. disgraceful.
5) The racial taunts against symonds during the vadodara odi. Never been ashamed to call myself an indian, until that day. Dire stuff from the crowd.
