With his current WPM, he needs to play another 26 tests to get to 300. Very much possible.
Hopefully his WPM won't drop in his upcoming tests.

If he plays 6 tests per year, he'd need to play for 4 more years. If injury is not an issue, he should probably get there.

Bumrah is a talented bowler, no doubt about that but the main thing is his fitness. There were many moments in the past when he had to sit back because of its fitness. So, if he plays continuously for the upcoming 2 years without being unfit then I think he will complete 300 wickets between 26-27

He has never taken 120 test wickets in a 4 year period (could do it if he takes 11 wickets in the Boxing Day test).

He is past 30 so likely to get more minor injuries than in the past.

He bowls with a stiff front leg, this helps generates pace but puts a lot of strain on his body - legs, back etc.
Bumrah doesn't bowl fast these days to prevent injury I guess, his max pace is not beyond 142-143 clicks. He doesn't need it much though since his bowling acumen makes up for it.

Andy Roberts has 202 wickets while Holding has 249, so if Bumrah can get to those numbers in 20-21 average, I have no complaints.

He's already had some big injuries, particularly the stress fractures and he's not re-modelled his action like other bowlers like Lillee/Cummins who came back from it successfully who had long careers. 300 seems like a long way away to me tbh, hope he does it.
