Actually, his last century against Zimbabwe came in 2001 against Streak and co. They had a better attack than India, so they don't really count. So five centuries out of 41 are against minnows.

i dont remember a time when Zimbabwe were ever ranked 8th out of the 9 playing teams.....they were getting better...but minnows by far

Like I said, their attack was international quality and better than India's. Because then if you count runs made against them in the nineties/early this century, you have to count every century scored against India as being against minnows too.

Zimbabwe from 1995-2000 won about 35% of their ODI's. England from 2005 have won about 39% of their ODIs.

So you can't have it both ways.

Whatever it takes!!!

I dont think Zim's attack was EVER better than ours at home, SS. That is just pushing it a tad too much.

ok dude they were the worst team in the world but not a minnow...

so sachin scored 5 100 against the worst team in the world and 5 hundred against minnow sides..happy

Thats the key point. So you take out centuries scored against us when not in India?
No, but my point was that most of the time, we did play Zim at home or on flat tracks and I don't think their attack was even equal to ours in those conditions. Srinath, Prasad, Kumble, Robin + new bowler over Streak, Olonga, Friend anyday.

Yes. From now on, I'll expect you to take out New Zealand in the early part of their career, India/Pakistan early on, Sri Lanka in the eighties, etc, every time you post stats about a player...OK?

And also, there is always a 'worse' team in cricket, and when there were only two teams...none of the stats would obviously count.
