Who do you think is second greatest odi bat?
It is because he(or India) barely plays any odis these days. Right now it is a fair call but him stinking up further over the next year or so (or the next WC if he is a liability until then and doesn't retire) will have it reconsidered in the opinion of many.Kohli has a good case now over Tendulkar.
Na odis still have flat tracks with no slips past over 10 so he would be fine plus imo he greatest t20i batsmen plus 2nd greatest odi batIt is because he(or India) barely plays any odis these days. Very similar to tests where many people would have considered him comparable to Miandad or Younis Khan a year back, but that would look ridiculous now.
I don't know. It looked like Kohli could overtake Tendulkar at one point but Kohli hasn't reinvented his game in late career. He doesn't feel a force of nature anymore even though his stats in ODIs haven't fallen off as they did in tests. Tendulkar as late as 2011 was arguably the best ODI batsman in the worldKohli has a good case now over Tendulkar.
I don't think I saw a better performance from Tendulkar than Kohli did in the WC 2023.I don't know. Bro Tendulkar's 1996, 2003 and 2011 were all arguably better. Even if you choose Kohli's 2023 (I won't), fact that Tendulkar has 3 in contention makes this almost a no contest.I don't think I saw a better performance from Tendulkar than Kohli did in the WC 2023.
it's not like Bradman but it does seem to be the vast, vast consensus that Viv is the ODI GOAT, only argument against it iirc was that people in 70s and 80s didn't know how to play Cricket and only learnt it in 90s.Wait, what? When did Viv become like Bradman in that it's just automatically agreed he's the greatest ever?

With due respect, I like most of your posts but can't disagree more with this one. I don't think any of those performances are as good as Kohli in 2023 (especially 2011, 96 is the closest), which is arguably the very best World Cup performance Ever. Kohli crossed 50 in 9 of his 11 innings, with 3 centuries and 2 80s @95...... It truly was special.Bro Tendulkar's 1996, 2003 and 2011 were all arguably better. It could be my age but it didn't leave the kind of impression Tendulkar's 96 and 2003 world cup performances did. With due respect, I like most of your posts but can't disagree more with this one. I don't know exactly how to critique that really....It could be my age but it didn't leave the kind of impression Tendulkar's 96 and 2003 world cup performances did.
Shakib's 2019 performance was just better. With due respect, I like most of your posts but can't disagree more with this one.
