Was he going to say I am the most complete player?
Well thb player like him actually never praised someone like this .
Player like Border, Ponting (during lords ashes 23 )Said Steve Smith is best aus batsman after bradman .
Gavaskar said - Sachin is better than him
But you will never see him praising someone like this.
Even he didn't said McGrath is the one against whom he struggled the most.

Well the screencap has the quote as “most complete player here”. Sounds like he’s choosing from a selection of players, or the players at a specific tournament (maybe WC?) rather than overall.

Oh yes , he is comparing hard hitter t20 batsman like Gayle, Maxwell , ABD and finally he said ABD is the most complete player here.

Prodigiousness is the best proxy for natural talent rather than expansive shot making imo. The things Tendulkar managed to do by his early 20s are unparalleled.

Why do Some says kohli is the best all formats batter ? ,
And some says sachin is the best ODI+ test batsman ?
I mean during bradman era, there was no odi format and during sachin era there was no t20i format,
So I think bradman deserves to be called greatest all formats batter , greatest ODIs+ test batsman as well.

all format is nonsense anyway, it's unfair to players pre 1975

Not that great of a compliment then. (no offence to those two)

Well I mean you answered that yourself. Greatest Test+ODI bat should’ve played both and ideally be great in both. Greatest all format player should have played all 3 and ideally be great in all 3. Bradman didn’t. It doesn’t diminish his accomplishments at all, and comparing across the formats is silly. It’d be like comparing say, 1 on 1 basketball to normal basketball. Rugby 7’s vs Rugby. Futsal vs Soccer. Singles vs Doubles tennis. Usain Bolt vs Eliud Kipchoge

The options here are too limited. It’s most likely Bradman, tho in terms of talent I think you could make a very strong case for Sobers too.

I would probably give a mention to S.F Barnes. Probably the most complete bowler to ever live.

In the modern era it’s probably De Villiers. Going bit further I think Warne probably deserves a mention. Tbh I think probably overtakes De Villers too. I don’t think we are gonna anyone as good as Warne bowling pure leg spinner slow speed. If their were to be a leg spinner as good as Warne, I would think it would be someone bowling O’Reilly/ Rashid Khan pace.
