Don't see how Dhoni doesn't make it if Bevan does.
Bevan was a fine left-arm wrist spinner who took his wickets at the very creditable average of 24 (better than Warne), including a best bowling performance of 6/82 in tests. Dhoni was a terrible bowler. Case closed.

Shane Bond - look at his ODI record against Australia

v Australia 2002-2010 17 44 6/23 15.79 3 5 0 0.20

44 wickets in 17 games at under 16 - surely that's enough of a sample size for inclusion

Dhoni had a better hairstyle, and was also kissed by a female fan in public.

Cricket Web: All-Time Legend
Michael Bevan has a mother****ing 10-fer! Bowlers who don't have a 10-fer - Joel Garner, Ray Lindwall, Colin Croft, Neil Adcock, Jason Gillespie, Jeff Thomson, Ian Bishop. Booyah!

Dhoni is the richest cricketer of all-time. He was a ticket collector in Indian Railways 3 years before he became world's best keeper-batsman in ODI. He started playing competitive cricket after Parthiv Patel made his International debut (can you believe it!) He has captained a team with Tendulkar, Dravid, Ganguly and Kumble in it. He is also arguably a better wicketkeeper than Bevan.

Eyes not spreadsheets
Talk about making things up. Dhoni played his first games 2 years before Patel played his.

He also didn't come straight into ODI cricket and immediately become the best keeper batsman.

Talk about not having any idea about what you're saying.

This is Parthiv Patel's first International match:
Scorecard - 2002 England v India - 2nd Test - 08/08/2002

Show me what kind of competitive cricket Dhoni played before this.

I have written because I know.

Edit: Also, he was an Indian Railways ticket collector till 2002. And this is the ODI batting record of all keepers in 2005.

Norwood's on Fire
Because Dhoni played in 99 and Partel in 02. Clearly in weldones world the latter is earlier

Either that or he's embarrassed himself, who knows

very embarrassing indeed

I'm seldom wrong on facts; and this time I sounded too confident.
