Great call. A true legend. Greatest of all his exploits: building a bicycle from an old washing machine and then smashing the world one hour record on it. Budget? His unemployment benefit. International cycling union liked it so much they proceeded to make some <foul-mouthing> rules which made his bike illegal and the record was erased from the list retrospectively.

OK, so he only used the ball-bearings from the washing machine, but still...
