yea i do think they will sometime too, Indias good soccer lies in their western parts . and north western. Thats were the best club in India is from aye ? Mohun Bagan i think it was called that i heard from my mate.
There is no “good” football in the west. All “good” clubs come from West Bengal (which is in the east)
And Mohan Bagan are the best club (and my family have been their supporters for 5-6 generations now) but they are losing their touch and their rivals, East Bengal are slowly picking up.
Baichung was to sign up with Fulham...but declared that he was ‘homesick’ and did not like European football.

:O Isn't Fulham an English Premier League team? Wow is he that good :wow: . This Indian media doesn't give any space to other sports :!( . Getting sick of all these Cricketers being treated as demi-gods when they can't even be in the top-3 of just eight nations while people like Paes, Arjun Atwal, Pillay , Anjali, Anju, etc,. don't even get even a tiny part of that recognition when they have done more than them

No, he's not.

He played a few games at Bury (third/fourth tier - I do know where they are now, just pointing out where they were when he played!!) and singularly failed to impress.

All he'd have signed for Fulham for would have been merchandising money.

BTW Tom, Man Ure are not the best team in the world. Milan are or Boca Juniors (depending if the Intercontentianal Cup has any creditbility).

Then why did they get knocked out in the QF of the CL?

Give them credit though, they have got rid of Ronald McDonald in goal. Although Barthez is on loan, I dont think he will back. He is only on loan just in case Howard and/or Carrroll get injured for any length of time.

The horror, the horror.

I never like to create a thread when one exists & this is a pretty good article as to why Bill Simmons came to choose (entirely wrongly) his English Premier team. A few basic errors of fact (Paul Jewell in a leather trench coat?!?), but entertaining stuff.

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/060719

For the record I came to support St George in the NRL because he's our patron saint & The Brumbies in Super 12/14 'cos, well it'd be rude not to...

& I apologise to Neil, but couldn't let that slide! ;)
